How to install linux fedora 7, already i am using windows 7, now i want to use dual os's , please tell me how to install linux.

WARNING: I will not be responsible for any data loss that occurs. It is recommended to backup your hard disk to external media before commencing any of these operations. 1. Download and burn the Fedora LiveCD. It is recommended that you use the latest version, Fedora 14, instead of 7, but you can use Version 7 anyways. 2. Boot up with the Fedora LiveCD. Select Install. 3. Follow the instructions displayed onscreen. When you reach the partitioning screen, you will need to resize your Windows partition. Resize it to a reasonable size (1024MB =1GB). Leave at least 5GB for Fedora to install. 4. After resizing, select the "Use Free Disk Space" option, and continue installing. 5. Your system will be installed with Fedora and the GRUB bootloader. The GRUB bootloader will allow you to boot into both Windows and Fedora.
I hope this post helps you. I appreciate your vote very much!

Is my motherboard supports red hat or fedora installation

Fedora supports hundreds of motherboards and the kernel is constantly being update so you should have no problem with the drivers for sound, and network. Just make sure on Fedora to download the latest installation package.

I have install fedora 10 but no audio output

Disclaimer: I'm not a linux basher. That being said, it is no surprise the audio is not working whilst trying to use Linux on the desktop. Try older, more standard sound card or simply install XP.

Install Fedora

If you are using 2 hard drives then install Fedora to the 2nd drive. When you boot up it will ask you which os you wish to boot into. Hope this helps.

Unable to boot Fedora 8

From what i have been able to find on this board and fedora forums, the issue you are having is not a bootloader issue... Assuming all hardware is good and functional. it is likely that getting another video card and dissabling the onboard then reinstalling linux will fix u up :)
from what i have read it is an issue with x not being able to start and fedora sets the default runlevel to graphical so.... it appears to freeze but i bet you can hit ctrl+alt+F1/F2 to get to the various terminal screens if this is the case then you need to change graphics cards and even then it may not fix the issue. This issue seems to be a pervasive issue for all versions of fedora back at least to core 3 for this board for me this indicates hardware incompatibility (specifically the video controller)
I hope this helps... if not let me know

About Linux fedora and XP

Without knowing more about your system, the key rule is to install XP first, then Fedora.
If that doesn't work then it's time to put more partitions on your hard drive, and install the 2 operating systems on different partitions, again, remembering that Windows XP has to be the first installed.

Driver for fedora core 2 , 7 and 8

Hi found this about Fedora 8. quote"Now when a new printer is added to the system, Fedora automatically enables a driver and creates a print queue for it. If there is not an exact driver match for the model of printer attached, Fedora falls back on a close model, a generic driver, or in the very worst case a generic text-only driver. All the way through this automated process, the user is kept informed through notifications."
