SOURCE: Display showing "E" and film is not getting forwaded

It sounds like the film transport motor is dead. If so, it needs a trip to repair shop.

be sure batteries are inserted correctly.

Can I download the instruction manual for NIKON F65 SLR for free? Pls help

Here is a link to one incredible persons library of manuals. This link will take your directly to the F65 page but you need to click on the first and second PDF format files. Yes he's asking for $3.00 and yes I've paid for some of his manuals but not everyone pays but, I didn't say that.

I was given a Nikon F65 SLR camera and my friend had lost the instructions manual...the step by step instruction one.not the specifications part...I'm not able to download that page....

Odd this is the second Nikon F65 for me to write on in the last five minutes.

Here is a link to a film page about half way down there will be two links for the PDF file for the manual. Yes the man is looking for $3.00 and if you are generous you can pay him most don't

How to see the picture after it has been taken for nikon f65?

The F65 is a film camera. You must get the film processed before you can see any pictures. If you have the setup yourself, you can develop the film. Otherwise, take the film to a photo processing lab (any camera store and many department stores, drugstores, and supermarkets either have them or have access to one) and get it processed. If you're shooting negative film, you can get prints. If you're shooting slide film, you can get slides. Either way, you can also request a CD containing the digitized images.

Again, the F65 is a film camera. The camera can't show you the images it has taken.

I want to upgrade to a digital Nikon camera. I have a F65 and am thinking of a D50 or D70. Will either be compatible with a APO sigma 170-500 mm lens bought originally with the F65

Yes. Be aware that due to what's often called the "crop factor" or "multiplication factor" the lens will seem even longer, about the equivalent of a 255-750mm lens. This is due to the fact that the sensor on the D50 or D70 is smaller than a frame of 35mm film.

Nikon F65 35mm how to change the aperture

If the lens has an aperture ring, it must be locked at the mininum aperture (largest F/number). In PSAM modes use the command dial (possibly in conjunction with the exposure compensation button) to change shutter speed/aperture.

External flash problems

Sounds like the external flash is being triggered by the pre-flash.

On the D40 set the flash mode to manual. On the F65 set the flash mode to Standard TTL.
