SOURCE: GE Model JTP15 oven shows F3 error code

I have the same problem. I noticed that the oven gets to the selected temp ok. Then when the pilot attempts to RELIGHT, it gets the error F3. Did you get a solution? After other posts, I will see if the temp sensor is around 1100 ohm as suggested by others. Ken

SOURCE: "Door Locked" flashing on GE Oven JTP15 - can't unlock

The problem may very well be in one of the micro switches on the self cleaning motor bracket. These switches control the electrical flow to the heating elements. In the owners manual there is/should be a chart that lists the unlock and safety combinations. This would be your best source of information.

We have a double ge wall oven. The vent fans had become really loud. I checked the price for new fans...$275 each! Plus service of $200. If your oven is not too old, go to GE service purchase a 1 year service contract for $93.00. Wait one one month till it takes effect. Call them and request service and the entire replacement is free.

SOURCE: broiler element comes on when "bake" is pressed

does the bake element come on at all?
if so, try the oven out. do a bake @ 350 allow it to pre-heat, and see if once the pre-heat is comlete, id the broil shuts off.
on many ovens at the beginning of the cycle during pre-heat both bake and broil elements are powered.

other than that it may be a control board, or a burnt and crossed wire in the harness.

I am getting an F0 error code on my GE JTP15. It was working and then just shut-off. Then the error code appeared. I removed power for 30 minutes but the oven control did not reset.

F0
Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control
(also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault
code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC),
touch pad, or both.

JTP15 Oven - Shuts down after preheating

It sounds like the module is momentarily losing power when the bake relay clicks off. Does it do the same thing when you use broil?
Post back with the complete model number and I will try to find the wiring diagram for it and we will walk through checking it.

How do you replace and oven sensor in a JTP15 wall oven?Getting F3 error code and ordered the part today but it doesnt come with instructions.

You will need to shut off the power and remove it from the wall. Remove screw holding sensor from inside oven. Then pull rear panels off to access rear of machine, be sure to tie a string to the old sensor wires so that when you pull them through you can tie the new wires to that string to make it easier to pull them back through. Plug new sensor wires in, put oven back together and re-install.

Please rate my solution if it was helpful.

I moved the latch for my jtp15 ge oven and now it won't open. What do i do to move the latch back over?

The latches on this model oven have a very high failure rate. Once the latch fails it is permanent. To open the door you have to access the control panel to reach the door look. To do this first turn the power to the oven off at the service panel by turning the breaker off.
  • Step 1 Remove the three screws from the control panel. The control panel is on the outside of the oven, above the door handle. Pull the bottom of the control panel toward you, then lift it up. This action will release the control panel cover's tabs.
  • Step 2 The mechanism that operates the door latch during the self-cleaning cycle will be behind a smooth, square plate held in place with two screws. White, black and red wires, as well as a grounding wire, will be protruding from the face of the plate. These wires will be twisted together with other control panel wiring and covered with electrical wire caps.
  • Step 3 Remove the failed part by removing the caps and untwisting the wires. Using an appropriate wrench, extract any screws holding the plate in place. The cylindrical-shaped mechanism will be attached to and behind this plate.
  • Step 4 Visit a store or contact GE at (800) 626-2224 to acquire a replacement part. To reassemble, slide the new mechanism into where the old one was and reattach the plate with the screws. Reconnect the wires by twisting them together and replacing the electrical wire caps.
  • Step 5 Replace the control panel by slipping the top of the panel into its groove and angling the panel downward, dropping the tabs back into the slots. Replace the three screws.

When oven heats up the fan gets really loud and doesn't turn off for a long time

if your oven is fairly old, dust might be the enemy. FIRTS Turn off the breaker on your house electrical panel that feeds power to the oven before doing anything. Do not electrocute yourself!!

Remove the control console bezel where the control panel for your oven is..it's probably held on by a few screws. You'll see the fan is there somewhere inside the enclosre, it's purpose is to keep the circuit board cool but the fan grill is probably clogged with dust...remove the fan from the enclosure...try using a vacuum to get the dust out...you might need to use a small brush to loosen the dust film, clean the fan blades while you're at it. Reassemble and turn on the power ...you'll probably find the fan runs much quiter...good luck
