My Zanussi dishwasher has stopped working. The 2 lights are flashing that the owners manual says indicates the "flood prevention" switch has been tripped - - but I've checked & all is dry under the machine, I've even taken the switch off & tested it to make sure its working properly (its fine) so the problem definitely lies elsewhere,... Any idea's??

I have the same problem if you take off the tray below the front door and set a small blow heater in there it will dry the out the anti flood switch. It usally takes about 25 mins for the machine to start working again.
SOURCE: Hi there
Do you have it hooked up to hot or cold water supply? Most residential dishwashers don't come equipped with a booster heater. If it's connected to the cold side, you'll have to replace the angle stop with a single outlet stop and replace the hot angle stop with a double outlet stop. This should help out, if not, make sure you have hot water in the faucet before starting the dishwasher. Most dishwashers need at least 120 degree hot water supply.

Hello,
You seem to have a blockage, have you checked the filters lately. Also check the drain hose and the pipe that the drain hose goes into,if they are clear then the blockage is down in the bottom of the dishwasher in the pipes or the drain pump.
Hope this helps.
