Can't change .wav files on Sanyo NVM-4370 GPS

I have a Sanyo NVM-4370 GPS unit. I have connected the unit to my pc trying to change the .wav files to say something else. I can replace the files with another .wav named exactly the same but when it comes time to use that particular file, the unit says nothing. Can you help me with this problem?

Thanks,
Jack Tatro

Examnple, I replaced the .wav file that says "right turn" to a .wav file named exactly the same that says something diffrent. It did not work

I checked all of that when I created the new wave files. I saved them in the exact same format as the originals.

More than likely the file you saved is in a different format versus the original; for example, in 16-bit stereo (2 channel) format as opposed to 8-bit mono (1 channel). You'll have to find out what format the originals are in then save your modified files in the same format.

SD card can not be accessed on Sanyo NVM-4370

Did you hear a beep when SD card is inserted? Did you also try to hard reset the unit using the On/Off switch located at the bottom of the unit? Try with another SD card and see if the SD option is selectabe. If all have tried I suggest you to exchange for another unit. HTH.

Sanyo nvm-4370 displays only 1.0.3.9 help

If your device still does not respond after performing "reset", disconnect all cables, including the car adaptor, from your device. Slide the battery ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the device to the OFF (left) position. Then slide it to the ON position again.

My sanyo nvm 4370 video option say no video player installed

This unit only supports MPEG4/H.264 file. The files format has to be .MP4. This unit cannot play all MPEG4/H.264 movie files. Most movies out there are converted using DivX or XviD codec so if you need to convert them to this supported format. It will mostly cost you time if you found a free converter.

If you don't have time. You might try my basic hack to add a 3rd party media player that will play almost everything out there and it also supports sub-titles. You can check out my video on YT @ http://www.youtube.com/KhaKev.
