I removed the motherboard and entire chassis whole from a 34" 16:9 Wide Screen TV and installed in a 40" 4:3 screen TV, the problem is picture does not cover the entire CRT screen of the 40" TV even in Zoom mode. On what board is the component that controls the 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio located, I would like to remove it from the old 40" motherboard/chassis and install it in 34" motherboard/chassis. There are many boards in the motherboard/chassiss of any SonyTV, there is an A, B, BM1C, CX, D, HA, HB, HC, HM, M, U, UD, and W board. The technology or component that controls aspect ratios must be located on one of these boards. Which one is it located on?

sony kv-40xbr800.......doesn't turn on......standby light blinks 6 times....what might be the problem?....is it worth fixing?
SOURCE: Sony KV-27HFR TV, no picture no sound; but got HV
The high voltage transformer may be the problem, because it feeds back secondary voltages to different parts of the set, for example is the vertical deflection voltage present at the ic, if memory serves me there should be around 26volts, if it's missing it means the fuse is open or the flyback pin is not generating the voltage.
Testimonial: "Good idea. Although the HV (flyback) transformer seems to be okay (because I have high-voltage), it does remind me to check a couple of diodes that rectify the relatively high-frequency AC from the transformer to generate those various DC voltages for other parts of the set. (The process is slow because I don't have a schematic of the TV, and it is located at my friend's house, but I will check it this weekend.) Thanks for the suggestion!"
what problem do you have? sound, picture, color, intermittence?
God bless you
