Scene Editor Won't Work!

Different scene modes allow for different functions. I rarely use them due to this. You have to set the scene mode to take a normal photo. Meaning in Fireworks scene mode you cannot take macro photos because the lens is focused to infinity already and is locked this way.

You also may have some problems with material in your lens. (I am not sure) If you get your scenes straightened out and it still does not work I would suggest searching for lens error and look for solutions there.

EV compensation is "Exposure Value compensation". The camera contains an exposure meter which determines how much light is on the scene and sets the exposure appropriately. However, this meter does not know WHAT you're taking a picture of, nor does it know what effect you're going for. The best it can do is to assume you're taking a picture of an "average" scene and want it to be of "average" brightness. It does this by assuming the scene is "middle gray," halfway between black and white. Most of the time this works fine, because most scenes are, well, average.
However, this is not always the case. Suppose you're taking a picture of a white dog playing in the snow. Almost everything in the scene is bright white, but the camera doesn't know that. It tries to make the scene middle gray, and the result is that you get a gray dog playing in gray snow.
On the other hand, suppose you're taking a picture of a black cat sleeping on the hood of a black car. Here everything is black, but the camera doesn't know it. It tries to make an average scene, resulting in a gray cat sleeping on a gray car.
EV compensation allows you to override the camera's exposure setting. In the first example, you'd want to add two or three stops (positive EV compensation) to force the camera to render the dog and snow as white instead of gray. In the second example, you'd want to subtract a stop or two (negative EV compensation) to render the cat black instead of gray.
How much EV compensation is correct? Well, that depends on the scene. With a digital camera, you can look at the picture and see whether the dog looks white or the cat looks black. Film photographers take lots of shot, using various levels of EV compensation, so that one of them would come out right.

Hmm.. Well there's a Beach, Haunted House, Kitchen, Family Room, Snowscene, Backyard, Wildwest place, Asian Temple, Salon and a there's a scene I think it like an indian place and there's a snake in a basket. I think that is alll for the scenes!! :)

Also, where did you download Petz 5???

Make sure your options are reset to factory default just to make sure some option has not been changed by accident, like white balance or others, then make some test shots. If that doesn't correct the problem, here are some more suggestions.

I am not sure what you are taking photos of, portraits, the entire room, etc. However, I would try a manual setting with and ISO of around 800 for a few frames, then try the museum setting in the scene menu. See what the results of those are. Also try the portrait selection for items or people that are fairly close. You have to be sure you have read your manual and became familiar with the camera. Most people that have reviewed your camera's model have stated it is pretty good in low light, but the flash is somewhat weak. Light is the secret to good photographs with a standard point and shoot. The camera you have has quite a few good options and should work fairly well in low light if on the correct setting.

The sports scene just selects a faster shutter speed and higher ISO to stop the action. It only takes one picture at a time. If you want a burst of pictures, you need to go into the "record" menu and scroll to "burst" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Are you trying to use it with a tablet device? Because some tablet devices override the drivers that are dependent for Photoshop. If this is not the problem, please leave a comment and I'll get back to you =)

To solve dis issue.. try one of the methods
1)Reset Windows XP Default Security Provider

1. Open Start menu, select Run, type regedit and then press Enter.
2. In the Registry Editor window, locate and delete the following registry keys:
   HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Cryptograp hy\Providers
   HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Cryptograp hy\Providers
3. Exit the Registry Editor and restart your PC

2)Reset The System Drive Letter

1. Start your computer in Safe Mode-turn on the PC, and press F8 during startup. Next, when the Windows Advanced Options menu is displayed, scroll down and select Safe Mode.
2. Open Start menu, select Run, type regedit and then press Enter.
3. In the Registry Editor window, locate the following registry keys:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
4. Edit this key to change the value of the system drive.
5. Exit the Registry Editor and then restart your PC

When you start to shut down Windows XP, it has to quit, or "kill," any live
applications or processes that are currently running. So close all applications first.
However, some applications and processes are always running in the background.
You can reduce the amount of time that Windows XP waits for those applications and
processes to close before Windows XP kills them.
1. Open registry editor
2. Navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop. Set the
WaitToKillAppTimeout and set the value to 1000. Select the HungAppTimeout
\newline value and set it to 1000 as well.
3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control.
Select the WaitToKillServiceTimeout value and set it to 10000.
4. Close the Registry Editor.


Memory Tweak
1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) and locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\
MemoryManagement\PrefetchParameters
2.On the EnablePrefetcher value, change the setting from 3 to 5 (decimal).
3. Close the registry editor and restart your computer
