Can't progam my direct tv remote to operate my westinghouse 32''tv

Direct TV remotes have special instructions to "program"
various Television manufacturer's equipment into each of their units. Simply by inputting the appropriate codes the "TV"

Once PROGRAMMED they will operate the set and the "DIRECT" equipment together...

Typically some fine set "MENU" items will not be available... so it is wise the keep your REGULAR REMOTE around for those SPECIAL APPLICATIONS.

Google the model number of the remote for "manual" which will have a list of possible codes---not all remotes will program for all sets.

theres nothing much i can tell you, i searched google through maybe 5 pages, everyones having the same problems. i'll keep looking for you though

There are two codes for your remote that work with White Westinghouse TV models: 311 and 611.

When it asks you to enter the code for your tv use 10178

It works like a charm!

The above mentioned is a link to the rca site for your remotes codes. I didn't see a direct tv satellite as one of the options under SAT. But the code for your TV should be listed (I would try the Phillips listings first)

DirecTV offers a remote code lookup tool, which I just used to find possible codes for my Westinghouse TX-42F430S; its first suggestion (the "most popular" code) didn't work. Clicking the "It's not here" button showed seven more codes, and one of them (11577) worked perfectly. Here is the full list of Westinghouse codes for DirecTV from that tool (as of 11/27/08):
