Hello all

i recently got the samsung gravity as well and had a 4gb card for it and got the same problem.... from what i have found its not the size of the card its that the phone does not support the (HC - high capicity) micro sd card. I went down and bought a regular 2gb microsd card and popped it in and it works fine. also all you have to do to put music on the card is drag(from your pc) and drop into the music folder(on the sd card). hope this helps. have a great day!!

Which Windows the computer is matters also. You need to install the software for the phone. You can try putting the memory card into the pc with an adapter.

Hey, I have the Samsung Gravity 2 with a normal 2GB card and it works great! It's super easy to just drag and drop music (anything from WMP should work) and pictures(jpeg's) but does anyone know what kind of videos work on this phone?

I've placed music on the memory card, it reads perfectly in another samsung phone, but on this one, it refuses to even recognize the music even being on the memory card itself.

Your music is most likely in the wrong format. Your samsung gravity can only play music that is in .mp3 format. The other samsung phone can read the other music file types (for example WMA) that your gravity cannot. There's nothing wrong with the phone or memory card, its just the way the phone works.

Cannot copy music from my media player on my sandisk memory card

I have not posted a help request, so I do not know how the picture is tied to this question ? If your cell phone has a standard SD memory card, there are a couple of ways to "transfer" pictures and music.

1. Your SD chip MAY have come with a larger carrier to fit into some of the computer SD slots that have been provided over the past few years for cameras, etc ? Once plugged in, your computer should recognize it like a small USB flash drive, then it's a matter of cut-n-paste.

2. Alternative is to go to Fry's Electronics and pick up a USB-to-Your Cell Phone adapter cable.. mine, for my Samsung Gravity was $15.00. Then, at least on my phone, I have the option to switch the USB connector from Modem to Storage drive, pick the latter. Your cell phone manufacturer, like my Samsung, may have a utility program that allows you to "manage" your phone.. contacts, pictures, ringtones, music, etc.. cut-n-paste again.. mine allows me to sync the phone to my Outlook for constant updating, etc..

3. Go to Fry's or ? and pick-up an inexpensive "USB Bluetooth Adapter". Plug it into a USB port on your PC, install the software, have it detect your phone, authorize it, now you're wireless vs corded.. follow the remaining steps in #2 above.

As an added note.. if you have a laptop, and your cell service has an Internet package for your phone, for around $20 month, I have a Highspeed ( 460 kbps ) wireless ( via bluetooth ) or the cord, modem.. AND you can still receive calls ( at least on mine ). AND it doesn't require a Hot Spot, only cell reception.

Respectfully,

Samsung hue

Your music may be located in a folder your phone doesnt recognize...that happend to me at first.

First you want to format your memory card through your phone. This will place the required folders on the card.

I used Windows media player to sync the music on my computer to the memory card using a media port on my computer. (just inserting the card directly to my computer). Once music was downloaded I looked at the card through "my computer", and noticed folders...one named "Music" and the other named "My Music". I moved the files from "Music" to My Music". Reinserted the card into my phone and the phone picked them up.

Samsung t629 memord card problem. PLEASE HELP!

ok, I have managed to use my sandisk 512mb card to put on music...even though I didnt know you had to format the disk in phone first (I dont recommend because all my music is individual clips and not in my music file), however once you see that the music is on the card via "my files" I went to the music player and hit options...then hit "add music from" then hit "memory card"...now you must put a check mark by all the music files you want to add to the music player (or choose "all" and hit ok) This will put your chosen songs off your card into the music player and you can see the song title at the top of your player screen and use the arrows to move through your songs/clips. Choose the song and hit play.

Can't sync from Media player

have you tried to download the PC Studio software for your phone? i think that you need a special program to do that. look for it @ samsung.com    or here is another way: get an adapter for your microSD, and jsut hook it up to your computer via a card reader. drag your music into the MUSIC folder. tada!
