Is this for an XP installation that you already have running? If so, there is a free program called Belarc Advisor that will list your license keys for the programs you have installed. You can find the download here - Belarc Advisor.

Victim of software counterfeiting

Each copy of Windows XP has a unique 25-character license-key.
Legallly, that license-key can only be used to install Windows XP on _one_ computer at a time.

However, Microsoft is stating that the license-key used for your copy of Windows XP has been used on _more_ than one computer.

So, follow the on-screen instructions to use you credit-card to purchase a valid license-key for Windows XP. Or, if you have a fairly-recent computer, purchase a copy of Windows 7, and upgrade your computer.

Where did you get your computer? A computer-store that has "reused" a license-key is in violation of their contracts with Microsoft, and should be reported: 1-800-R-U-LEGIT.

Volume licenece key in my pc has been bloked i dont now what to do plz help me

> volume license key has been blocked

If you work for an organization that has licensed, in "bulk", copies of Microsoft Windows, then your I.T. department would have received a "volume" license-key, i.e., one license-key spanning _every_ licensed computer, not one unique license-key _per_ every computer. If so, contact your local I.T. department, and ask them why Microsoft is now "blocking" usage of computers that are using that "volume" license-key.

Or, if you are using a "bootleg" copy of Windows XP, i.e., somebody outside of the organization that licensed that "volume" license-key has ILLEGALLY used that license-key to install Windows on your computer, then you need to purchase license of a "genuine" copy of Windows XP.

See: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/

for details on how to "get genuine".

Probm with software counterfeiting

The license-key for the copy of Windows XP that you have installed has been detected by Microsoft as being a "counterfeit" key -- the license-key has been copied from some computer with a valid license.

I need to reinstall my xp ....will this affect my license ?

If you will reinstall XP on your computer, no need to worry about the license you can still use the same license key that you have use for that computer and everything should still be OK , it will also be applicable to your other software that has some license key you can simply use the same key that you have use before....
