Hello, just recently replaced batteries on the scooter. Everything worked great and then while riding myself with my 6 yo, the power went out. I thought it overheated so I waited with no change. I removed the cover and re-checked the battery connections, all looks good. The red power switch light turns on red below but there are no power indication lights "on" the handle bar near the throttle...I did notice a pinched wire near the battery and metal cover...could that be the cause? or did I burn out the motor? but the handle bar lights should still turn on though...right? help!

The controller needs to be repaired. We regularly repair these control board assemblies for only $32.50 nationwide, and that's much cheaper than replacing the board. For safety, disassembly and other info see http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

I had same issue, bought a new controller. 40 bucks from the manufacturer. Works great.

Hi
It could be your neutral safety switch. It could be the starter relay which is located in the fuse panel box. It could be the smaller wire going to the starter could be loose or corroded.

First check battery connections...
then check Ignition fuse
then check your interlocks...in neutral, sidestand up....kill switch to RUN...also try using clutch in case the neutral switch is not grounding the starter circuit properly.

yes sounds like the control module, you can always jump the batteries directly to the motor to make sure that the motor is ok
