SOURCE: We think oil for the

To evacuated the oil from what I believe is the gas cap area, you are going to need some type of a siphon pump to remove the oil. A total engine tear down might be needed depending on where all the oil is. Remove the spark plug, and turn the engine over, if you are getting oil coming out the spark plug hole, then you are going to have to either tear down the engine, or leave the engine sitting in a way that you can drain all of the oil out of the system. If no oil comes out of the spark plug hole, then you should be good to go once you siphon out all the oil

Motor runs but no water pumps through

It's possible that the 'unloader' in the pump is plugged. A local small engine repair shop can replace it (generally under 50 bucks). Of coarse you have the hose hooked up to it and the water on.

Do you use 4 cycle oil or 2 cycle oil for pressure washer EXH2425?

For your model pressure washer you should not be using 2 or 4 cycle oil. You need to use the following:

Model # EXH2425 P 2400PSI 2.5GPM 5.0HP HO
PUMP TYPE OIL TYPE OIL CAPACITY

**Annovi Reverberi (XMV) 30W non detergent 13.5 oz.

**Annovi Reverberi (RKV) 30W non detergent 18.54 oz.

I have got a Devap dvh2600 pressure washer. It has started leaking water badly from inside the pump casing. Can the pump be dismantled? Otherwise I may be able to get a complete new pump unit

yes pump can be taken apart but when you do it will be to your best interest to rebuild with new valves and o rings. Be sure to check the housing and make sure it isn't cracked. If it is cracked throw it away and get a new pump.

It sounds like the unloader on your pump is going bad but it is hard to say if it is that or the valves in the pump. The only issue with this machine is that parts are no longer available for this pump. The only option I really have for you is to replace the pump with a new one, it is a very simple process and only takes about 15 minutes to complete.

See this link for information on the pump that would fit your machine

The only thing else you might need is a coupler to have the hose adapt onto this pump

What kind of oil do you put into a Excell pressure (exh2425) washer pump? Do you use the same as engine oil (30 w)?

Pressure washer oil

I took this picture of my power washer so it's easy to explain the oil.
The oil is different for engine and pump.

The pump oil is 20 or 30 weight non-detergent. SAE20 or SAE30 motor oil. The level of the oil comes up about half way. There is a plastic viewport on side of pump ... oil comes up half way on viewport.

The engine oil is 10W30 motor oil. It comes up about half way or a bit more on dipstick.

To remove oil from pressure washer, do not turn engine on it's side or turn engine upside down or motor oil will run into the carburetor. You might wonder how I know that. Afterward, the carburetor needs to be cleaned out.

To remove oil, you can tip engine to the side but not so much that oil runs up into top part ... to remove the rest of the oil, you can use a plastic hose

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly
Take a look at your engine parts manual here:

http://shoppingcart.msservicecompany.com/msservice_net/product_files/GC160AQHA/gc160%20qha_1.pdf

Watch item 22 and 4 (pdf file page 5) as the engine unloads to see if it is rocking. If it is stuck in one position it will do exactly what you describe.

Also check the 2 springs items 4 and 5 (pdf file page 7.) If one of them is broken it can cause the problem.

What I really think is happening is that the throttle linkage is moving too far and striking the kill switch on the control lever (pdf file page 7) item 14. Watch to see if the linkage is moving and striking the engine stop switch.

Your engine also has an engine fuel pump. Item 1 of pdf file page 19. This pump is operated by the difference in crankcase and carb throat pressure. If any of the hoses are leaking it can cause the fuel pump not to work at low engine speeds and result in engine fuel starvation.

This particular engine is really fussy when the lines get old, crack, or harden. Take a long look at the condition of all of the vacuum, fuel and breather lines.

I can't say that it is the ___ line / hose is causing the problem because there are too many and any one of them can give you fits.

Download the manual... look at the linkages and hoses. I am sure your going to find the cause if you give it a good look over.

Thanks for using FixYa,

Kelly
