Electronic panel has a "3 second" button that is flashing. We tried turning off power but it still flashes when powered up. The dishwasher will not start. None of the other buttons will work.
The service guy changed the front panel of our dishwasher due to a recent recall and since then the Electronic panel is acting up, e.g. I get the "3 seconds" light steady/flashing. Earlier, the dishwasher stopped working altogether. There is a cover that goes around the electronic panel. Make sure your service guy puts that back in correctly, or as it happened to me, the circuit board gets wet and causes shorts and other problems.
The 3 second flashing light is a lock that locks out all other functions. To disable, depress the 3 second light for 3 seconds and all the functions will be released. This feature is to use to keep little kids from starting the appliance.
Pard, does your serial number end with either WS or WU? If so, Maytag had a issue with the main board, triac shorting and possibley damaging the motor windings. If your serial numbers fall under this, you are probably covered under the service flash. Im not really sure what you mean by the 3 second button flashing. Check the numbers first and post back. Any advice?
I tried the solution by pushing the 3 second light for 3 seconds and my machine works like a dream. Thanks. Couldn't find the manual and didn't know it had a lock.
Kenmore 665 17772290 - The lock light is flashing and none of the other buttons are working.
The start button is not working since the power went out and none of the other buttons are working now. Only the 2 buttons are flashing green.
