I have an RCA Universal Guide Plus+ Gemstar remote. It is approximately 5 years old. I purchased an ATSC DTV tuner for the February switch to digital broadcasting, and would like to know if I can program my RCA remote to control the ATSC tuner. (Currently I only use the ATSC tuner for channel selection, nothing else.) If you would have directions for this programming they would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Eric
Try a code for a "satellite receiver" of the same manufacturer of your DTV tuner. I've heard of a cross-remote complaint with the DirectTV box and the DTVPal box. Note, your DTV tuner may say RCA, but it could be manufactured by a common DTV tuner maker. The system looks very close to a Zinwell. Don't have an RCA model to try the codes out, though.

Digital TV tuners are so new, I don't think the older universal remotes can "do" them.
I hope someone proves me wrong though!
