My kids ps2 wont read the disk, it says that there is no data, this is the secon disk. I find it hard to believe that I got Two bad disks.
My PS2 does not read the data. plus I do not hear the disc spin
It's your laser with something like dust keeping it from reading the discs. Just get a simple CD cleaner kit, one that has the little brush on it and then of course put some solution on it. Rubbing alchol will due. This happens to everyone eventually.

If it doesn't do it after playing the cleaning disk three times for around 10 secs each, then you may want to open it up and put clean the laser lens directly with a rubbing alchol soaked que tip and a dry one. For more instructions on how to open it do a search on fixya and there is one guru who goes into great detail about this.

Honestly it wouldn't work on my Sharp Aquos tv, but I just plugged the yellow RCA prong into the green component spot and it worked fine, in color. The picture probably isn't as nice but whatever
