If you can remove the touch pad without damaging any wiring and such, physically eyeball the electronic board. It may have been incontact with water and burnt a resistor or shorted a pathway. You will see a discoloration in the area that is effected. If you don't see anything obviouse, procure yourself a can of electronic cleaner spray and spray the underside of the board. leaving it loose, and also with tennis shoes on, start it back up and run through your push button cycle. If that doesn't work, it maynot be the control board, it may be one of your acuators that is a faul. Check the easy stuff first, but look hard for a small burnt spot on the board, usually around a resistor. If you foind one, go online and find a color code chart for resistors, thats if you have any resistors on the board. Look at the resistor and write down the colored rings in order. The code of a resistor is how much resistance that resistor is supposed to operate at, or how much resistance it provides so that the unit as a whole can orerate. The color closest to one of the ends of the resistor is the one you write down first. So, you see 2 different colors on either side and ones black on one side and the other is red. Looking at it closley, you see the red ring is 1 cm away and the black ring is 3 cm away from its end. The closest to the end is your begining color code combination. so (all of this is ofcourse Hypathetical but for teaching, it's nessicary), you write down red, then the next color then the next till you reach the end for all intence purposes is black. and with this information, locate a reistor color code chart online or if all fails, ro to Radio shack and purchase one there, a few cents probably, and locate the same, exact!! color scheme of the one you think is bad. Once you locate it, the chart will inform you of how much resistance it is supposed to hold. With this newly found infomation take your Fluke or other electronic metering device, (Volt meter) and check the resistace as you would just like checking the volts on your car batterie with the volt meter. If the chart says it has an impeadance of 25 Ohms and you are getting nothing or its over the printed limit then it bad. Go to your trusty Radio Shack and buy a new 0.15 cent resistor and heat the solder being careful to touch nothing else and remove the old and replace with the new the exact way the old came out. if the red stripe was at the top then put it back the same way, at the top. If you fail to do so, it will not work period. It's designed to allow flow one way. Sorry for the long winded type but I bought a Buick Regal for $100.00 in mint condition because the repair shop told him he needed a new electronic main control board. I spent 5 hrs. checking impeadance and once I found the 2 that read the wrong resistance, I went to radio shack and spent $1.08 then replaced them and she started up like it was anew car. Good luck again, I appologize for the length of this but I hope it helps.

I have a Pearl whirlpool tub that comes on briefly when sensor button is touched and shuts off after a second or two. The water level is above the water sensor level. Please help

Simply reset by pressing the big red button on your spa pack. The high limit switch may be housed in a thermowell. If the water temperature in the thermowell is the same as the water temperature in the rest of the spa, the switch is damaged and needs to be replaced.

I think you still have warranty, it sounds you have faulty control panel, even if it's new does not mean it is good.

Cannot get temperature buttons on hot tub to change

Hi,
Do the other buttons work? Is the control panel locked, some spas have a control panel lock to prevent kids from playing with the temperature. Are any of the buttons stuck in the de-pressed/down position? If neither the problem is likely in your topside control which means it will need to be replaced.

My hot tub doesn't heat up all the way even though it says it's ready

If a floating thermometer is more than 3-4 Degrees F off what the control panel display temperature then the temperature sensor has likely failed.

Tub is not heating to temperature and flashing a Ec message on the temperature screen.

the Ec message is reffering to the mode the tub is set for. Ec stands for Economy mode. In Economy mode the heater will only come on during the filter cycle you have programmed. It will take a while for the tub to actually heat up in this mode. Change the mode to St mode which stands for Standard mode. Your manual should explain how to do this. usually you hit the temp button then the light button to change from mode to mode. Once the St is in the read out window don't touch anything and it will except the programmmed entry automatically. In the Standard mode the tub will keep heating until the set temperature is reached. then it will come on every half hr or so to check that the temperature is maintained.
