When I run on my Nordic Track A2350, the belt slips slightly forward with each step giving me the feeling of slipping. The belt can be rolled forward when off. How can I fix this?

Is there a way I can make the belt only roll backward and stay that way?

SOURCE: I have a nordic track a2350 and the belt stopped

This is usually related to the control pwb which is located under the motor "hood".
You can get this part from iconservice.com by going to the replacement parts section of the site and entering the model number of your machine, Which is located on the lower frame assembly below the walk belt. After you have receieved the part you can follow this procedure to repair it.

SOURCE: i have a nordic track a2350,and the incline wont

I've seen this problem several times, but many things can cause it. It's most likely the motor control board, but it could be a number of things. I'd have it looked at.

Have you tried adjusting the rear roller bolts with an allen wrench? That usually works for me.

Unfortunately now I have a slipping problem that tightening the belt via the roller bolts doesn't fix. In fact, I feel as if the belt is too tight as it only lifts about 2" instead of the recommended 3-4". Hope we get some other ideas here!

SOURCE: our belt is slipping on our nordic track c1900

I have the same unit. First, remove the hood. Then, the motor has an adjustment screw on the belt side of the motor. Loosen the nut a little, adjust the motor up or down to make the belt as tight as you can by hand, then re-tighten the nut. This always fixes mine.

I have a Nordic Track Commercial 1300 eliptical that started slipping when we used it. We tightened the belt but it didn't help. What else could be wrong?

Step 1

Remove the screws or bolts securing the ends of the pedals to the crank axles. Slide the ends of the pedals off the axles. Remove any screws or bolts securing the left and right disc shields to the base unit. Pull or pry the disc shields off the base unit and set them aside.
Step 2

Remove any screws or bolts securing the left and right side shields to the base unit. Detach the side shields and set them aside. Examine the interior of the base unit and locate the drive belt.
Step 3

Pull the drive belt free of the crank pulley, flywheel and any other pulleys. Discard the old drive belt and install a new belt in its place. Turn the crank axles by hand to confirm that the belt will turn smoothly when the device is in use.

sincerely. Merry Christmas.ernesto cuadra

Nordic track c2000 belt slips

I would try to tighten the rear roller a little and see if that helps.
1 start the treadmill and operate it at 1.5 mph then hild onto the handle bar and plant your foot against the belt at the front. If it slips tighten the roller 1/4 turn on each side. Then try the slip test again and repeat the process, do not tighten it too tight that will cause the belt to fold in teh center and be ruined. You May quite possible need a new belt. Take the belt lose and look at the underside and see if it;s glazed (shinny) or has pieces missing under the center of the belt, if so replace the belt and also clean the rollers front and rear, also flip the deck over it shoudl have a wax coating on the other side if that hasn;'t already been done.

When you have adjusted the most you can, should you replace the belt?

If you have tightened the belt and it continues to slip it is usually a sign that the deck and belt are worn. You may be looking at repairs that might be more costly than getting a new machine. You can check the deck by sliding your hand under the belt (not running) and feeling the deck surface. If you feel grooves or any rough spots then you need to replace it. The underside of the walking belt will also feel fuzzy like a peach if the fibers are breaking down.
If the machine is not very old or hasnt had much use then it could be several other things causing the slipping/stopping of the belt.

My Nordic Track A 2050 is slipping. At first I noticed it slip from time to time in my 45 minute workout, but at the end, it was like I was on ice. I love this treadmill, is there a way to fix it?

Unplug the unit remove the motor shroud inspect the drive belt if the rubber feel slick then my recommendation is to replace the drive belt. Adjusting the drive belt may take care of the problem if you do not need to adjust it too tight. If you choose to do the adjusting and feel you have adjusted the running belt thinking it would resolve the slipping, then back the tension down until it the running belt is slipping then adjust until the slippage is resolved.

I have a Nordic Track treadmill C1800. When first

You have 1,2 or maybe 3 problems. 1st is you need to remove the cover over the motor. The belt that the motor turns may be slipping. You need to loosen the bolt that keeps the tension on the drive belt. Push down to tighten manually and then tighten bolt. While your in there you should check the drive belt for wear. If you have used the treadmill a lot it may need replacement. $20 from readmilldocter.com The walking belt if badly worn can be replaced for like $99 but probably is fine. put all back together and tighten tension. Should be able to lift walking belt 3 to 4 inches from center sides. Any less and its too tight. Its probably better to just replace the drive belt anyway. This should work. Do not over tighten ever. This is the cause of most problems.
