How to change the battery in the bright bar

Hello. You might have defective valve coils not allowing the gas valve to open. Check to see if you have 120v at the coils. The valve assembly is nothing more than an electromagnet. When the coils are energized, they make a spring-loaded plunger withdraw, allowing gas to pass. After the current is shut off, the springs force the plunger to close off again--just like the coil of wire around a nail(battery powered when you were a kid) and you could pick up small objects magnetically. HOWEVER, you also say that the ignitor glows "bright red"--how old is the dryer? The ignitor usually glows a VERY bright orange--so brightly that you almost can't look at it! A classic symptom of a worn out ignitor is that the center glows but the rest of the glow bar doesn't. If you have an ammeter(meter that checks amperage(current), you should measure about 4 amps +/- on one of the wires going to the glow bar. There is also a flame sensor that will allow the valve to open when it senses a bright enough glow from the glow bar. If you are unsure how to check any of these devices, PLEASE call for a svc tech. First, make sure your VGA driver is up to date.
At the right down part of your screen, right-click on your battery bar, scroll to "Adjust screen brightness"
Look down, at the middle of the screen, you will find screen brightness there.

Adjusting Screen Brightness The screen on the Kindle Fire uses more power than anything else, and the brighter the screen, the more battery power it uses. To increase battery life, you can lower the brightness of the display.

Sounds like your keybinding/hotkey combo is not doing its job. (or your bulb in the display is going out)

You can open up Control Panel and adjust brightness from there.

Step 1 Click "Start ' Control Panel ' Hardware and Sound ' Power Options" to open the Power Options window.
Step 2 Click and drag the bottom "Screen Brightness" slider to the right to increase screen brightness and to the left to decrease it. Making this adjustment changes the brightness level only for the current power source; if you change power sources, the screen brightness may change again.
Step 3 Click "Change Plan Settings" on whichever power plan is currently selected.
Step 4 Click and drag the "Adjust Plan Brightness" slider to the right to increase brightness for each of the power sources, such as "On Battery" or "Plugged In." If you want high-precision numeric control, you need to access the advanced settings.
Step 5 Click "Change Advanced Power Settings."
Step 6 Click "+" next to "Display" and then "Display Brightness" to expand these options.
Step 7 Click "On Battery" and enter a percentage in the field provided. Choosing "100" will set the screen to maximum brightness; any other brightness will be a percentage of the maximum brightness. To increase the brightness, make sure the number you enter is higher than the current value.
Step 8 Click "Plugged In" and set its brightness percentage.
Step 9 Click "Apply" and then "OK" to close the Advanced Settings window.
Step 10 Click "Save Changes" to save any changes you made on the Edit Plan Settings page. If you only make changes in the Advanced Settings page, the Save Changes button will be grayed out. If that's the case, just click "Cancel."

The reason it happens is because windows sets the power plan to "balanced" or "power saver" when the AC power cord is disconnect, in order to reserve battery life. One way to change it, is to change the power plan - right click on the battery icon in the task bar (near the windows clock), and choose "high performance". The screen will be well lit. The downsize - the battery will last a shorter time.

Hi If you click on the battery icon on the task bar. At the bottom there is a link to says Adjust Screen Brightness. If click on this link, there should be a slider. This will change the brightness of the screen. I hope this helps.

Actually, the problem isn't with the drivers. Right click on the battery icon in your system tray. Select "Power Options" (NOT Power4Gear eXtreme). On the right panel, select "Adjust the display brightness." Then, select "Change advanced power settings." Scroll down and open up the "Display" box. The options that are affecting your screen brightness on battery are "Allow SmartDimmer to reduce my brightness after," "Have SmartDimmer reduce my brightness by," and "SmartDimmer full-screen video mode." Playing with the percentages in these boxes will affect how your screen brightness adjusts itself. To get my screen to stop re-brightening itself, I changed "Allow SmartDimmer to reduce my brightness after/ On Battery:" to 100%. I then changed "Have SmartDimmer reduce my brightness by/ On battery:" to 0%. Finally, I set "SmartDimmer full-screen video mode/ On battery:" to Maximum Power Saving. This should solve your screen-rebrightening problems even with the 163.44 drivers (I use those too). Please Rate.

Right click the battery icon on the right bottom of the screen in the task bar. The performance profile may be set to energy saver causing monitor to dim to save energy.

try checking the sensor bar connections, moving the sensor bar around to different positions.. higher/lower/left/right/closer/further. also if you have shinny background behind the sensor or sunlight/bright lights these will cause loss of signal. check the bar and remotes for oily film. last thing try a different remote if it does the same thing your sensor bar may need replacing if it doesn't the remote could be defective. hope this helps.
