I found the solution! Take out the broiler pan. Lay on the floor on your back and you should see two long openings along the width of the door. I made a solution of 1/2 c. isopropyl alcohol, 1/2 c. while vinegar and 2 c. warm water. Wet a kitchen towell with solution, pin the towell to a metal hanger, (pulled out from hook to the center bottom wire) so the hanger was double width. This makes it sturdy. Flip the rag with wet solution over the hanger, and insert in the openings on the bottom, clean by rubbing against the glass where soil is, then remove. Do the same with a dry kitchen towell so there are no streaks! I guarantee when your on the floor you might notice alot of areas you don't normally clean, I did! the solution also makes the best window wash solution.

Why are there brown/white streaks inside oven door glass after using self cleaner 1 time?

Thank you for your post, friend!

From my understanding after you used the self-clean feature on your Frigidaire range you now have brown and white streaks on the indoor glass. Typically streaks can be removed by cleaning the interior glass. Normally it is recommended to have a professional clean the inside glass but a consumer can do it as well. Use caution when following the steps some pieces can have sharp edges. You will need to have a Phillips head screwdriver or small quad bit driver.

A. Refer to owners guide for instructions on how to remove oven door.

B. With door in broil stop position lift door assembly off hinges.

C. Lay door on table, position so that handle hangs freely over edge of table

D. Remove 2 screws and washers that secure handle to lining assembly.

E. Remove 8 screws that attach textured steel door wrapper trim to lining assembly 3 at top, 3 at bottom, 1 on each side

F. Lift door lining up and out of wrapper trim assembly.

G. Lay lining assembly on table with wool shield/inner part of lining facing up.

H. Remove 2 glass clamps via 2 screws per clamp. These clamps attach innermost clear glass to wool shield.

I. Lift out center clear glass from wool shield, this glass just lays onto the wool shield and is held in place by the glass/ clamps in item H.

J. Clean each glass with appropriate cleaner.

K. One glass that remains in door lining assembly can at this time be cleaned without further disassembly the lining assembly.

L. Reassemble in reverse order.

Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

How do I take the glass out my oven door model AP578X-8

Hi, I have pasted the instructions for your Smeg oven you below:
9.4 Removing the internal glass panels
The glass in the door should always be kept thoroughly clean. To facilitate
cleaning, it is possible to remove the door (see 9.2 Removing the door) and
place it on a canvas, or open it and lock the hinges in order to extract the glass
panels.
The glass panels of the door can be completely removed by following the
instructions provided below.
Warning: before removing the glass panels, make sure that at least one of the
door's hinges has been locked in the open position as described in "9.2
Removing the door". This operation may have to be repeated during the glass
removal process if the door is accidentally freed.

Removing the internal glass panel:
• Remove the internal glass panel by
pulling it upwards, following the
movement indicated by the arrows. Doing
this detaches the 4 pins attached to the
glass from their slots in the oven door.
Removing the intermediate glass panels
(on some models only):
• Some multifunction models have an
intermediate glass panel. Remove the
intermediate panel by lifting it upwards.
Cleaning:
• It is now possible to clean the external
glass panel and the panels removed
previously. Use absorbent kitchen roll. In
the case of stubborn dirt, wash with a
damp sponge and neutral detergent.
Replacing the glass panels:
• Replace the panels in the reverse of the
order in which they were removed.
• Reposition the internal glass panel, taking
care to centre and insert the 4 pins
attached to the glass into their slots in the
oven door by applying slight pressure.

We have a SMEG self cleaning oven however the glass door is filthy and we are seeking the best approach to clean it without damaging

Purchase 3M stainless cleaner for the stainless parts, do not use spray and wipe or similar as it removes the marking or etching indicators (temp. etc)

You can use oven cleaner on the glass, but try not to let it go on the stainless parts yet again.

Hope this helps?

Smeg 90cm oven - removing inner glass plate of door

First you have to unmount the door from your oven (descriped in the manual how to do).
Then next, remove the screws that you have mentioned already of the inside of the door (the inner glass plate is mounted by adhesive on the outer part of the door). After yo have removed the screws, the inner door can be parted from the outer door. Wupti - now you are able to clean the inner side of the glass platen of the oven door.

Cleaning Inside Glass Oven Door of KitchenAid KEMC308KSSO

To dismantle the kitchenaid pro line oven door: there is a lever over the hinges that attach a door to the oven. The lever is right on top of the hinge. Pull the lever up. When that lever is in the up position, you can pull the door out.
