There are two ways to do this>>
Method 1
Assuming that you have internet explorer
>Open favorites
>Select the favorite you want (means open that website in internet explorer )
>Go to file
>Select send >shortcut to desktop.
Method 2
Go to
C:\documents and settings\(your user account)\Favorites\
Look for the favorite you want and then copy and paste it to your desktop.

In response to rtrahan, what I am saying is that when I click to open favorites, then try to send a favorite to my desktop, it will not send it there. I want to be able to have some of my favorites shortcutted onto my desk top.
when i go to my favorite list and right click on a favorite and select send to desktop the favorite shortcut does not appear on the desktop
I think the person wants to put the entire Favorites grouping on his desktop.I also want to do this but it doesn't happen when I use the normal procedure.
When I am on the grouping I right click and then click on Create a shortcut..............it does not create a shortcut nor state that it placed a shortcut on your desktop.

Are you saying that when you open favorites and click on one of your favorites the web page does not come up?
