Just bought one of these and it seems like it doesn't hold a charge it goes pretty good and thanafter 15 mins so slow??

it will run slow for 40 mins at a slow speed, after 15 mins of running fast, the batteries get too hot

Its because the belt has deteriorated //loosened. It needs to be replaced. It's a simple job if you have the "REPAIR" manuel in which to explain the steps/manor to remove and replace the belt.. The portable is a different setup then the full size washer. A repair man will charge about $75.00 an hour (should not take more then 20 min but will still charge the hour) plus some charge travel time/gas. The part you can by on line for less then $10.00 (with s&h) where the repair man will charge at least 3 times that for the part (belt). Good luck finding a "REPAIR" manual.

Have you check your fuel filter? How much pressure is coming out the tail pipe when you rev up the engine? Hold your hand about 10 inches from the tail pipe and have someone rev up the engine. If you do not feel alot of exhaust flow and it's real hot, he may be right. The proper way to check this is with a vacuum gauge or back pressure gauge. I would ck the fuel filter also. You have to charge the batteries for nearly 8-10 hours. Brand new batteries also require a full recharge of 8-10 hours.Not only making sure the batteries are charged, have you changed the battery in the menu under type of batteries.

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter

Sounds like the catalitic converter/s are clogged up. This would cause low air flow and low compression. I've seen them so bad that they dropped the compression down to 60 lbs.
