You can start copying pictures to SV811 digital picture frame if you get the message “Use PC interface to copy files.” Here are the steps:

Copy pictures, videos, and music between your frame and computer, using your computer's normal file copying tools:

1. Connect the USB cable from the frame to your computer
2. On your computer, open My Computer or Windows Explorer.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

3. Navigate to the pictures you want to copy. Then drag and drop them to the new location.
4. Unplug the USB cable to view your copied pictures.

Copying pictures from EasyShare software:

1. Install EasyShare software (free download at www.kodak.com/go/sw )
2. Connect the USB cable.
3. On your computer, open EasyShare software. Select the pictures in My Collection and drag them into the Picture tray.
4. In the menu bar, select File and then Copy to the Kodak Drive letter.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

5. Select the frame source to which you are copying.
6. Select Best for Digital Picture Frame to reduce the resolution of the pictures you are copying. Full resolution is unnecessary and quickly fills up the frame's memory.
7. Click Copy. Pictures are copied to your frame.
8. Unplug the USB cable and press “Home” icon to navigate to your copied pictures.

Cannot down load pictures to frame from computer

The following instructions should be able to help you transfer pictures/images and music from your computer to the frame.
Power ON the frame.
Connect the small end of the USB cable to the USB port on the side panel of the Digital Photo Frame.
Connect the larger end of the USB cable to the USB port on your computer.
You will see some extra "Removable Disc" drives in "My Computer" -- One for each of the memory card slots on the Digital Photo Frame. And the last one is for the Internal Memory of the frame. Double-click on the last "Removable Disc" icon to access the internal memory of the frame. From here you can copy images and music files to the frame. You need to transfer the images or music files into this folder (which is the internal memory of the frame). Copy the files from your computer and paste them in this folder.
The picture files should be in the "standard JPEG" format and the music files should be in the "mp3" format.
To disconnect the Digital Photo Frame from your computer:
In Windows, on the bottom taskbar, right click the icon which appears in a green color, (this icon has an arrow pointing towards the left) and select "Safely Remove Hardware".
The Safely Remove Hardware" dialog box will appear. Select "USB Mass Storage Device" and click "STOP"
On the next dialog box, click "OK" to remove the storage device.
On the next dialog box, select "CLOSE" and disconnect the USB cable from your computer.
Now you should be able to see the pictures on the digital photo frame.

Thanks.

Uploading photos

Both the thumb drive and the picture frame are USB slave devices, not USB masters. They both need to be connected to a USB master in order to transfer files.

Do you have a standard USB cable from some other device, any other device? If so, that should fit into the picture frame. If not, you'll have to buy one.

Connect the thumb drive to your computer. Create a folder on the computer and copy your photos to that folder. Then connect the picture frame to the computer and copy the photos from the folder to the frame.

If you have two or more USB ports, you can skip the folder and just copy photos from the thumb drive directly to the frame.

Can't get photos from MAC to load to Digital Photo Frame

To connect to a Macintosh computer:
1 Plug in and turn on the digital picture frame.

2 Connect the small end of the usb cable to the usb port on the side of the digital picture frame.

3 Connect the larger end of the usb cable to a USB port on your Macintosh computer. The Macintosh will recognize the digital picture frame as an external storage device, and an icon will appear representing the device.

4 Drag and drop your photos on to the icon...

5. After you finish, press the eject button, and disconnect the usb cable once the icon has dissappeared

If there is still a problem, try restarting the macbook. and make sure no other programs are running in the background that may interfere with the process. Also, make sure the laptop is plugged in, or the battery power is sufficient.

Hope this helps!

Downloading pictures from pc to photoframe

First install the application which you receive with the picture frame on your computer. Connect the frame with your computer by using the USB cable. Once you have connected the frame, you will be able to see an additional drive in "My Computer". Just copy the pictures from your computer and save them in that new folder.

In some software, which come with the digital frames will create a program by themselves after the installation. In these case, you need to open the program and then connect the photo frame to the computer. After connecting, you will see that the frame will synchronize with the computer and you will see that the program which you have already opened will show you the drive of the frame, where you can just transfer the pictures from your PC to the frame.

How do I transfer pics from my computer to digital frame sv811

Connect the frame to you computer via the USB cable. Your computer should see the frame as a removeable storage device (new drive letter) if there's memory on the frame to store images. If not, then get a cheap memory card or USB key for $20 and put the images there.
