Someone stole my credit card number through a skipper at gas station and ran out and bought 5 iPads at the mall. Is there ANYWAY to track these iPads if I have the serial numbers?? I want to find this guy really bad and the police say they can't afford to investigate this case. I can't afford $ 5,000 worth of iPads for someone I don't know.

This means the ipad is reported stolen by the owner and is being tracked.......the owner is the only person who can unlock it!
it is a security app, 'find my ipad' and cannot be unlocked without the apple id!

First, if the unit is defective and you rcently purchased it, take it back to where you bought it and return it.

The last resort is that if you paid for the device with a credit card, call the card company and dispute the charge. You can explain that it is defective and they will not assist you with a repair or replacement.
