Check to make sure the burner gas discharges are all clean and none of the holes are clogged up. Then make sure the air intake vents are all clean and clear so its getting enough air.
it should have went off when you aired up the tires.you can reset the whole computer by disconnecting the positive cable on the battery for 10minutes. light will go off,but do you have remote key just incase the alarm goes off?
It's a common trouble for the power cord from the adapter to break inside the insulation near the plug. This is because of frequent flexing of the cord near the plug. When this happens you'll see the power light on the computer go out, and wiggling the cord sometimes gets it going again. Without the power input, the battery doesn't charge and the laptop won't stay running.
This sounds like what's happening to your computer, and should be fixed by replacing the adapter. Generic replacements are available at reasonable prices from online vendors and at Radio Shack and big computer retailers. It's also possible to repair the adapter by cutting the cord back and soldering on a new plug if you or someone you know has the tools and skills.
