When try to turn the printer on, the little green light on the power button comes on but then goes out after about 3 seconds?
Its the back cover,if its not at lock position,your printer wont com on

It may be the rollers that grab the paper and pull them into the tray, over time they start wearing down and losing their grip, kind of like a car tire. There are rejuvinator pads available that will give the rollers a little big of their grip back but I don't know how effective they are because I've never used one.

Is is a DC or and AC output supply?
If is it an AC output supply tyhebm in the back of the HP had an AC to DC converted that is realy a diode bridge and should contain a fuse in the circuit somewhere on that board
