What is the minimum volts required to run 1.5 ton 5 star AC?

Low voltage will burn out all the motors Higher currents will ruin the start capacitor on the compressor and fan motors too. 220 vac is the minimum. You have to allow for inrush or start up current which most likely is the cause of the under voltage. You'll have to get a larger capacity stabilizer.

Just hooked up 8 smoke alarms to ademco 20P security system. All have solid red light showing smoke detection except for last one with EOLR.

check your polarity, if your using a polarity reversal module make sure you have the polarity correct on the feed voltage and the input voltage.

Fluke 179 multimeter showing wrong reading in AC, DC voltage, rest every thing working ok

input protection circuit is blown , see if you can find fusible resistor and check for open circuit (should be 1kOhm) - big resistor on the right straight from the Volts input

UPS does not supply power under 150~ volts

UPS will provide constant voltage out put.
The average working condition of UPS is 170 to 270 volt.
Below the level may not work.

Flashing service code, indicates brownout, checked electricity to computer, 240volts, what next?

A brownout can be detected by checking the dc voltage being supplied to the electronics in the main controller board. If anything upstream of this point is causing a lower than normal voltage from getting to the controller board. The condition is checked with a comparator circuit, comparing this voltage to a reference voltage. Here are some possible causes:
1. Lower than normal input voltage (brownout).
2. Bad connection in the power wiring.
2. Defective voltage reducing transformer.
3. Faulty rectifying and filtering circuitry.
4. Defective comparator or reference voltage circuit.
5. Defective micro-controller reading the under voltage signal.

What I would do if one of my customers had this issue is prepare to take voltage measurements on the heater by being able to open it up and having a volt/ohm meter available. I would then call the Haywardtechnical support at 908-355-7995 and see if they can lead me into measuring the dc voltage on the board that has the comparator circuit and the ac voltage being supplied to this board.

If the voltage is low it needs to be corrected, maybe by replacing the transformer or repairing a bad connection. If the voltages are normal then I would suggest that it is a false alarm. If the heater still works then I would discuss with the customer that the heater was getting a false alarm but continued to heat. The customer could then decide weather they wanted to replace the board to correct the alarm or tolerate the false alarm.

Please fill me in on what happens and ask any further questions. Thank you.

Panasonic TH-46PZ85U Plasma TV All 3 HDMI was working fine with cable box, PS3, XBOX360. I used to connect my pc to the tv with a dvi-hdmi cable, but recently unplugged it. So I tried to plug in the same...

Symptom:
TV shuts off unless all the input (phono and HDMI) cables are disconnected. The
symptom may be intermittent.
Cause:
There is an abnormal AC voltage entering the TV from one of the input cables or AC
outlet.
Remedy:
Follow the Testing procedure to determine if there is a problem external to the product.

Concept
Constant symptom
If the TV no longer shuts off when all input cables are disconnected, then one of the
input cables is introducing abnormal voltages into the TV. Panasonic Plasma TV sets
have 3 wire AC plugs.
As a result, abnormal voltages introduced into this TV will cause the TV to shut off for
protection.
Intermittent symptom
If the abnormal input voltage is borderline (marginal), the TV shut off symptom may be
intermittent. However the cause may still be detectable with a voltmeter.
Protection Proof:
Release the protect mode - the TV has to be unplugged to reset this protection circuit.

Threats from the HDMI input:
Excessive voltage from an HDMI cable connected product will activate the Plasma TV’s
protection circuitry. Placing an isolating / buffering connector (sometimes called a voltage
conditioner) between the TV and the HDMI input cable often solves the problem.
Testing -
Unplug all the HDMI inputs from the TV. Turn on the TV. Plug in the HDMI inputs one at a
time. The cable that causes the TV to enter the protection state is connected to the product
that has the excessive voltage (and signal). Avoid connecting this product until an isolating
connector is found.

I need the input voltage for ac adapter for my GE 98903 2.1 Pro Speaker System

The AC adapter input voltage is 120 Volts AC as it plugs into a wall outlet. I suspect you want to know the output voltage of the transformer. If you have the old transformer the output voltage is listed on the transformer top. May be hard to read but it is there. This system is also sold under then brand name Jasco. The Input voltage of the system should also be printed next to the power connection or on the speaker itself.

"On Battery" Alarm Sounds when Power Available.

if this comes sometimes and goes, this means that the power to ups is sometimes deviating from the specific ups input range, hence the ups is rejecting it. mesure the input voltagesand frequency with a multimeter and check whether they match the specified ones in the ups manual. aslo with some ups there are switches that you use to set the input voltages or number of phases in the ups input. check the manual to see whetther your ups has such.
