Hi Hope you can help me. I have a Navman iCN 550 and when I turn it it has a continual message "waiting for gps"
How do I fix this problem for my Navman to pickup the signal where ever I am.
The message should also read no mnsa data first... if these units are not in continual use, they get corrupt for some reason. all you can do is hope the gps fix will work itself out, otherwisw buy a new unit.

I found that if you open out the receiver at the back and make sure it is touching the windscreen it works for me. If not I don't get a signal. It is worse in one of our cars because it has a heat reflective windscreen.
how to install smartST 2005 for navman icn 550 with windows vista, I have problem with compability, this software was for windows XP but cannot run on windows wista.
I had this problem when I completely deleted the Backup folder from \My Flash Disk.
Restoring the backup folder allowed the 520 to operate properly again.
It is possible that you have a corrupted APPStartupSec.exe application. Without this file working it appears that the NAVMAN waits in USB mode for ever!
It will take ages to find a signal the first time it tried. Once locked on it should pick up the sats really quickly the next time you turn on the device.
If you turn it off completely (battery switch to off) then it will take ages again the next time it is turned on.
