Tv picture flickers after 10 minuts on right side of picture
If the picture on your TV flickers, there may be a simple fix. Here are some possible answers and suggested solutions:
1. Your set-top box may need a simple reboot. Unplug the power connection to the set-top box for about 30 seconds. Reconnect the power and turn the set-top box back on.
2. Check all of your cables for a loose connection by tightening each one with your fingers.Flickers can sometimes be caused by bends in rigid cables, too.
3. If your picture flickers to a black or blue screen, you could have a bad set-top box. Contact your cable or satellite service provider about installing a new one.
4. If you still have audio, the flickering could also mean that you have a failing backlight.
For additional troubleshooting information, check out the chart at TV flickering for more solutions. I hope this helps!

try reseating the LVDS cable inside the set it is the multi wire connector from the main board to the LCD panel (top portion of the panel). if that doesn't look to see if the back lamps are remaining lit during this problem. if they go out the problem may be power supply or inverters (lamp power supply).. some panel makers make these available as a seperate part, some do not and the panel must be replaced. if the back lamps stay lit it is the main board. start with the LVDS cable first.

Help! I have an RCA 40 inch HDTV (Model# D40W20). I've had it since 2005. Recently, the picture will flicker when I turn it on, but will stop flickering after a few minutes. My brother has the 52 inch model and his tv did the same thing before it broke down completely. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
