My Pride Revo Mobility scooter needs a new gear box.

Shoppers Home Healthcare, who took 3 mo. to find me new keys, 2 new batteries, and a new electric brake just returned it to me, and after a 10 min. drive, my scooter broke down completely. Now they are asksing another $565 for a new gear box. Could the first repair have caused my broken gear box. Can I get this fixed for way less?

I lost the key and a locksmith told me that he couldnt make anoyther one. Is there a way to order a new one?

Any Pride Mobility dealer or repair centre can supply keys for your scooter, but probably won't be cheap. Have a search for Healthcare Distribution Direct and send them an email.

Scooter wiring diagram

Bad connections on the battery posts is most likely. If the circuit breaker was bad you'd get nothing at the battery . The charger voltage is 29 volts when not connected to the batteries. 26 or more when connected and on.

I cannot ope the battery compartment

The battery boxes are removed from the scooter by lifting the handle and pulling straight up on the box. You may have to tug or wiggle it to get it free.
Turn the battery box over and look for 7 recesses in the bottom of the box where the 7 phillips head screws are located. Remove the 7 screws and the box will come open. A long handle #1 phillips or long handle #2 phillips screwdriver should work.
Turn the box over right side up before removing the top cover. The battery connections are red to positive (+), black to negative (-). Hope this helps.

Sticking in and out of gear

Hi. When you say in and out of gear, does it free-wheel or just not drive? The jerking could be caused by faulty motor brushes. Fitting new brushes or getting the motor overhauled would probably fix this.
If you gave a better description of the fault, we might be able to give you a better solution. good luck. Neil.
