I believe you are referring to a GFCI receptacle. Did
you have power at the GFCI Location? If so, make sure
you wire the line and load portion of the GFCI unit properly.

No power

If it is not getting any power at all, only one of three things: cord is fried/dead; could be the outlet, try something else in the same socket; or, the board in the printer is dead.
1. Press the POWER button to power on the printer The device has a <POWER> button.
Connect the power cord from the printer to the electrical source.
Press the <POWER> button.
Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting a print request or completing installation.

2. Disconnect and Reconnect AC power adapter or power cord to the device and electrical source
  • Disconnect the AC Power Adapter or power cord from both the device and the electrical source.
  • Then reconnect it.
  • If you are still unable to obtain power to the device, try another power outlet.
  • If possible, try connecting power directly to a wall outlet (as opposed to using a surge protector or power strip...just as a troubleshooting measure).
3. Disconnect and reconnect the electrical cord to ensure a secure connection 4. The iP6000D may require repair

5. Try a different electrical source / outlet

I have a GE Spacemaker microvave oven that was working perfectly for the past 4 years. When installed, we were told that the outlet did not work, so to get the microwave working, the cord was pulled out...

Perhaps the microwave's main supply fuse has blown.Open the cover & check it in the power supply section.Be careful & discharge the big capacitor first as there is very very high voltage present inside even after switching off.

Installed 8 low voltage lights with a malibu digital 120w timer 2 months ago. The timer does not always work. I'll unplug then power up the system and then the lights turn on. Never had this problem...

Timer is not identified:
Open following link to see low-voltage digital timers and then add a comment if needed:
Page also has links to warranty information, and list of advisories so power pack lasts longer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Malibu-power-pack-stopped-working.html#digital

There are 2 likely suspects: Bad timer, or electrical problem.
There is no repair for bad timer, but timer has warranty through the manufacturer/ Malibu.
Electrical: Since power pack worked correctly before, then outlet probably has correct polarity, but I always suggest checking outlet with circuit analyzer.
Also plug lamp into same outlet and see if there is flickering that would indicate loose wire. Wiggle circuit breaker and see if lamp flickers. Move the outlet and see if lamp flickers.
Outdoor outlets get loose wires because of exposure to temperature and dust and moisture. Replace outlet and don't use the quick connects, instead use screw terminals.
If possible, move timer to different outlet on different breaker and see if problem persists.

Dell Inspiron 1521 battery not charging

Laptop batteries power a laptop when it is not connected to an electrical outlet. If the laptop battery fails to charge when the laptop is plugged into an electrical outlet, the battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately there is no way to fix a dead battery. However, while a dead battery is the likely cause, it is not the only cause. The AC adapter may be broken, in which case the battery won't charge, or the battery contacts may be dirty and need cleaning. Prior to replacing the battery, perform simple tasks to ensure a dead battery is the cause of the problems.

1.Power down the laptop. Gently pull the AC adapter from the side of the laptop for removal.

2.Place the laptop in front of you, bottom side up. Locate the battery release mechanism. This can be a button that slides or needs to be pushed to unlock or release the laptop battery from the housing unit. Press or slide the mechanism. Slide or lift the battery from the battery bay for removal.

3.Insert the AC adapter into the side of the laptop. Power on the laptop. If the laptop does not power on, ensure the AC adapter is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. If the electrical outlet is working and the laptop won't power on, the AC adapter is not properly working and needs to be replaced. Remove the AC adapter.

4.Dip a cotton swab in a small amount of rubbing alcohol. The cotton swab should be damp, not dripping wet. Lightly rub the dampened cotton swab onto the battery contacts and battery bay contacts to remove dust, buildup and grime. Allow the contacts to air dry.

5.Align the battery over the battery bay. Either press or slide into place. A clicking or snapping noise produced from the locking mechanism will confirm the laptop battery is securely locked into place.

6.Install the AC adapter. Allow the AC adapter to fully charge the battery for 8 hours.

7.Remove the AC adapter. Power on the laptop. If the laptop does not power on, the battery needs to be replaced.

Right side stopped working

In the manual:

Check to see if the toaster is plugged in; if it is, unplug the toaster, then plug it back in again.

A tone will sound when the toaster is plugged into a live electrical outlet.

If no tone sounds, check the electrical circuit the toaster is connected to -

is a fuse blown or a circuit-breaker tripped in your home?

At least with "unplugging and plug it back again in the electrical outlet" the right side of our toaster works again. The tone that should sound with plugging in didn't work...
