Washine machine won't turn last spin.

Opened up washing machine and clothes wet. Put back on spin and the drum just rocks (and now at a standstill). Put clothes back on wash and drum is turning its just the last spin. Turned off/on electrics but still not working.

Model AA7000AWW. Why are clothes still wet?

The most likely cause for a washing machine that is able to still spin but still turns but the clothes are still very wet is a problem with the drain hose to the washer . Most of the time with this issue or whichever is causing it to not drain during the spin cycle means the water isn't draining off very quick enough and is essentially going back into the washers drum, that is re-soaking your clothing.

My washer is not spinning clothes dry and the end of the cycle. Everything is soaking wet, what can I do?

is the pump free to spin? when the pump operates(when it spins) is the water getting out? something like a sock may have got past the drum into pipe that joins to pump allowing only some water to escape

Not spinning and making loud noise

Usually when the washer goes into spin cycle, it takes a little time to do so because it is trying to start a heavy load of wet clothes from standstill. As it speeds up, if the load is out of balance, it will start to wobble and then the off-balance switch is activated, shutting down the power to the motor and turning on an alarm momentarily. If this is close to what you are experiencing, try to realign the load so that the clothes are not bunched on one side of the drum - that is, distribute the load around the drum. You should be able to close the lid and press start to get it to try again. If this doesn't work, try removing most of the clothes, especially the heavy items, like jeans or sheets. You might be overloading the washer. Try it again.

Quite old admiral mega 22 plus topload washer. the machine did not agitate after filling up. I tried various points on the 3 cycle types and it did not spin either. My son tried moving the agitator and...

Yes sounds like you have now disturbed the seal and will need a new one, remove the agitator and inner drum to get at the seals, to remove the agitator pull off the softner cap and remove bolt form down inside.
To remove the inner drum, the top part of the washer needs to be hinged back to gain access, to do this insert a flat balde 4" from each side at the seam with the front panel to release the clips, lid will now hinge back to give access to the drums, on the outer dum there are clips all the way round to remove the top section of the outer drum release these. remove the bolts under agitator to remove the inner drum. you should have access to the seals but it has been a while.
Reason for not agitating in first place is probably the water level switch at the rear of the drum with a small 8mm hose connecting it to the drum.

I suggest that you check the brushes in the motor for wear.
Remove rear panel, remove drive belt, undo bolts securing motor, unplug motor lead and earth wire.
Lever motor back, keeping hold of it, and remove.
Check the brushes, they are at the opp end to the motor pulley, if there is less than 8mm left, then replace brushes.
I would also check the pump filter, and clean if req'd.

Thanks.

Clothes are still soaking wet after spin cycle and the wash cycle is complete.

Sounds like your bearings have gone in the back of the drum and damaged your water seal. the clay type substance is possibly water mixed with grease.

If the drum spins in the spin cycle, then the belt can't be broken. However, if the drum does not move at all in wash and spin, then the belt can be broken or just fallen off. You will have to remove the back plate and fit the belt back on the drum pulley and the motor pulley. If belt is ok check the motor brushes, they could be worn. They are located one on either side of the motor and identifiable by a single wire that connects to each one. You could also have a restriction in one of the drain hoses which is not allowing all the water to drain out.
