Bought a replacement for a failed unit. Don't know how to enter the IP and other info to get the unit started. (3com 3c8201c)

If you donot have the default IP of the router, try setting an IP as 192.168.1.2 on your machine & access 192.168.1.1 (which is supposed to be the default IP of the router)

Routing problem

The last part of the IP address has to be more than 10 apart. That is to say: if your first address is 193.156.36.90 then your second should be 193.156.36.100 or higher or 193.156.36.80 or lower. I like to go for 50 higher or lower then you are well out of the range of your main router.

3Com SuperStack II 1100 - need new fans

All yo need to know is the physical size, the voltage and current.
They are usually on the little round label. Voltage is probably DC 12v, and the current should be something like 0.5 amp or 500mA, or 215mA or something similar.
Then just you will know which one you need.
