My HP pavilion a620n won't power back on when I push button on the front, there is a little green light on the back that went off when I unplugged everything attached to the back. Could this be a bad on off switch? Just turned it off while on vacation and now it won't turn back on.
It could be a faulty switch or the bad lead connections MOTHERBOARD TO THE HARD DRIVE make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty if its a flat ribbon 40pin ide this will be the first to fail
test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE SATA
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure dust free connections
a computer needs power and data to travel through every working device and continue its cycle and have a finishing point so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
make sure the CPU has a secure dust free seating with thermal paste
make sure your ram modules are securely seated with no dust in the sockets also the Cmos battery has charge with no dust in the socket
on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in
hope this helps

Your power supply is bad--you will need to replace. I suggest looking at tigerdiect for a replacement.
