This morning our microwave light (internal) turned on and it's making a sound like the magnitron (or some fan) is on, but it doesn't produce any heat, nor will it turn off. The keypad won't respond and when I do a "hard reset", regardless of how long I have it unplugged for, it resumes the same behavior. The light immediately turns on and it makes the "whirring" sound. Any ideas from my vague description would be appreciated.

It's probably a bad turntable motor or coupler.

Normally
you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo)
and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

1.Check power outlet for working.
2.If it is than you have broken fuse inside the m/w.
3. To change the fuse you have to disconnect the power to m/w, take the upper grill off, take the screw on top of control panel, lift the control panel up and removed. The 20 Am fuse located behind this panel.

I have the same issue. The microwave continues to run when pluged in. The light comes on and you can hear like a fan is going as if it is doing something but it is not heating. The only way to shut it off is to unplug the microwave. Also everything on the digital display is lit up and is non responsive when you hit anything on the key pad.
