As the hints point out, you need to add bridge someone in the middle of the islands. Someone recently had a problem with this puzzle by seemingly trying to trace the entire route (you just need to draw a short line to connect two islands). If you look at both ends of the route and work out how to include the outer islands near each end, you should end up at a point in the middle where a bridge is needed.
