Language set up

Hi I presume your in Australia?? Go to the web site below and download manual for your satnav. Find english instructions on how to change language and see if you can follow the pictures and change to Australian

Press the "Main Menu" button on the Navman to bring up a list of options. Tap "Preferences," choose "Localize" and "Language." Each option is selected by touching the screen. The different language options show up on the screen in list format. Touch the language you want to use and press the check mark icon. The Navman will now operate in the chosen language.

Yau have selected another language of keyboard - german languages
On English if you press shift + 2 rezult @
On German if you press shift + 2 rezult "
Please change you keyboard to english folowing this steps:

Press on the keyboard taskbar if it is present and select EN like this:

Press Left Alt + Shift once an see if on your taskbar the symbol DE is change with EN (english layout) .

OR

Do sequence: "My Computer, "Control Panel,""Regional and Language Options"
Click on "Languages"
Click on "Details"
In "Installed Services" click on "Keyboard"
See if your English keyboard is present.
Click on "Language Bar"
Click on "Show the Language Bar on the Desktop"
Click on "Advance Key Settigs" and see what combination is use for change "Between input languages" - by default is Left ALT + Shift, but you can change this.

Click OK and exit "Regional and Language Options
Press Left alt+ Shift to change between DE keyboard to EN (this is displayed on the rigt bottom taskbar near by clock, volume...)

uder the base of the unit you will see a small hole about the size of a pen this is the reset button get a pen or similar item insert the nib into the hole and press the button this should reset the unit

First of all the language was Finnish and not German. I managed to get a translation from Finnish to english for the word  kieli (Language).  Then i went to the system menu and selected kieli, then englanninkieli then pressed enter, this changed the language to english. I did not have to do a factory reset. Thank you for your trouble.

Push goto button together with the - button (sound)

If you can get to your settings area it looks like a little gear. Go 6 options down and touch it and you should be able to change it there. The user manual is in the link below if you need more technical information.
