A Netgear router helps your device to share one common internet connection provided by your Internet Service Provider. Each light on the Netgear router indicates one particular action. If the router is damaged or not working properly, then these LED lights will start to blink in particular or different colors. Each color light defines each issue. Netgear router blinking orange light is the common issue faced by most users. If the Netgear internet light is blinking in orange, then it means a slow internet connection. Similarly, each orange light indicates a different function. To know more about the Netgear router orange light and the steps to fix it, read the Netgear router internet light orange instructions set given below.

It depends. Have you checked the Netgear support site for FAQ and the manual. In some routers, orange lights indicate wired 100Mbps connections while green indicates 1000Mbps. In other cases, blinking lights indicated that the router is 'bricked'.

Hi,

Follow the below steps to configure settings on the router:
1. Open the browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari) on a computer connected to the router.
2. Access the router, usually with http://192.168.1.1 or http://www.routerlogin.com.
3. Login to the router with the Username as "admin" and Password as "password" (please note that the Username and Password are case sensitive).
4. Click on Wireless Settings (under Setup) from the left menu.
5. Select security options as WPA-PSK. Enter a Password in the passphrase box. Apply the settings.
Scan for the wireless network on the XBOX and connect to your network.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

Netgear dualband wndr3300 - Why can I only connect to one band

Dual band means it is working on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency. If your computer can connect on both frequency that only means that the wireless adapter in your computer is also dual band.

My light does not turn from orange to green

Hi Friend

please push and hold the reset button for 30 seconds. After that turn off the router for next 30 seconds. Now turn on the router. If you still find that the light is orange then unfortunately you have to replace it with a new router as it is no longer good.

No lights on except power light.

The firmware has been messed up. DDWRT might be incompatible with your router. I would highly recommend to reload the factory firmware or the latest firmware from Netgear's website. Loading 3rd party firmware will void the warranty of your device.
