SOURCE: Philips 42PF5321D/37 Error Codes

replacing ssb for 4 blink error was correct as error is communication failure specific to micro processor on ssb. getting an alternate error after replacing ssb would suggest either wrong ssb or defective ssb. verify vendor number on ssb tuner on original and new ssb and if same reorder that board and if not order per original board

hello, amigo if the all the caps are godd then you have to replace the power supply board. don't try to fix it this is not an easy task. you are looking at almost $200.00 with tax an shipping. just go to google and type your tv model # and ask for the power supply board or just look for the part# on the board itself. good luck

I have a Phillips 50pfp5332d/37 the tv does not have audio or video the green light on the power button comes on and stay solid however on the TV power supply there a green led that blinks 5 times.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location.

Panasonic 3 blink error 50pfp5332D/37

First off, 50PFP5332 is not Panasonic, but Philips.

Second, what I would do is this: open the TV by taking off the back cover (that's lots of screws to unscrew) and try to powering it on again.

There is a little green LED on a small board sitting at the lower right corner of the power board (see image in the listing below).

Look at that light when the TV comes on and see if it starts blinking or if it stays solid.

if it blinks you *likely* (not surely) have a problem with the power board.

if not then you can start looking elsewhere and the Y-Main board will be my first candidate...in fact you can also try disconnecting the Y-Main board from the power to see if that will make difference in the startup behavior of the TV.

That's as much time as I can allocate you at no cost.

For more use www.coppelltvrepair.com/diagnose .

Oh, and the listing for the power board repair:

Philips tv model number 50PFP5332D 37 wont power up

I have the model Philips 37PF7320A/37 won't turn on and MOST articles on the Internet say it's the Capacitors capictors capictors..I checked all of them. My tv just blinked red lights, had the clicking sound at first power on, but then goes black. No sound. No picture. Nothing. Just blinking red lights.

MINE WAS RESISTOR no. 3318 , a 100 OHM RESISTOR ON POWER SUPPLY BOARD.

I BOUGHT REPLACEMENT FOR .99 CENTS SOLDER IT, AND EVERYTHING WORKED!!!

THAT WAS ALL IT TOOK.

JUST A SUGGESTION..
1. CHECK FOR BULGING CAPACITORS (90 PERCENT OF THE PROBLEM)
2. THEN CHECK FOR RESISTORS WITH MULTIMETER ( FALLS INTO THE OTHER 10 PERCENT OF THE PROBLEM.)

TELL ME IF THAT [email protected]

I replaced three cans. they were bulged on the top. i plugged the tv in and it did the same thing. i said it blinks 4 times fast but it is only three. blink code says 3=RESERVED. i pulled the the y-sustain...

Philips lists 3 models of your TV:
1) 50PFP5332D/37
2) 50PFP5332D/37B
3) 50PFP5332D/37E

User Manual for your TV (actually for the 50PFP5332D/37E):
http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/5/50pfp5332d_37e/50pfp5332d_37e_dfu_aen.pdf
The user manual doesn't document the logic board blink codes for errors.

What this tells me is that the TV went thru two revisions before reaching version E.
in case it helps: Philips Customer Support: 1-888-PHILIPS.
If they can't help otherwise, they can at least tell you if your set is eligible for warranty service.

My philips tv flat screen keeps shutting off and a red flashing code starts blinking?

Not sure what code since you didn't say, but here is the code breakdown.

When the TV does this, the RED LED on the front will blink. For digits 1-10 it will blink pause then repeat. For numbers with 2 digits it will blink the first digit slow and then second digit fast. So 25 would be 2 slow blinks followed by 5 fast blinks.
