WILL NOT HEAT UP AT ALL
Get your multimeter out and test from the cord toward the press. You've got a break or a short. Or a bad heating element.
After checking the obvious(fuses etc), there is a heat overload component fitted beside one of the heating elements hidden in the mains live wire to the elements. This semi-conductor goes 'open-circuit' if there is too much heat for too long. The simple solution is to bypass(short it out) this component to re-connect power to heating elements. If it does not heat up after doing this then the elements are burnt out. After proving this works then it is your own decision whether or not to replace the component.
