I have a 51 in ultravision tv that has a hum in the audio

There must be a problem with your amplifier check for busted fuse, transistor or IC on the audio section. It must be replaced to enable the sound.

Hitachi Ultravision power light on but on picture

have someone check speaker ground to the TV chassis. Your speakers are picking up reverb from the Video Signal.

Probably the main board, audio processer blown. about 300.00 to repair. A service tech told me this and the repair worked.

Follow these steps to correct humming issue:
1. Turn tv on
2. Input mode should be tv
3. Turn volume to zero
4. With remote enter 9 8 7 6
5. A menu will appear on left side
6. Arrow down to backlight and with right arrow key move number from 81 to 83, press menu button twice,
7. Turn up volume and listen if hum is gone.

check for defective IC401 audio amp
also check d409 d410 d414 d413 for short
and check electroletic caps in audio amp

Ya I get a humming sound when the volume on my Daenyx is turned up to 1 quarter the volume,Does anyone else have this problem? These TV's have great picture and sound when the humming isnt there but I cant find to much info on them.I have heard that these tv's might be made by Daewoo but I cant confirm this,Does anyone know if this is right??
