The moment I turn my Nokia 5310 Xpress Music Phone on, soon before the handshake, the screen again goes blank. I tried to restore the OS using the Nokia PC Suite but the Nokia PC Suite is not getting connected to the phone. It says, please connect the phone. How do I reformat the OS/Phone to have this working. A quick reply with a solution is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
I myself own this awesome music phone.
Find the answers below:
1) As it shows less internal memory, it seems that you have transfered some data like mp3, video clips through bluetooth to this phone and it was saved in the recieved folder which autmatically saves in phone memory. Try saving the data to memory card and you will get the phone memory free.
2) Check the above reason for this same issue.
3) You need to select proper connectivity mode under settings of this phone. Go to settings and then open connectivity folder. Here select the connection mode.
Make sure to install the latest PC suite software on the computer. This can be downloaded from the NOKIA website.

Anand

SOURCE: I accedentley got water into my nokia 5310 xpress
To start with you're not the first person who's had this problem. This is probably the worst thing that can happen to your phone and before I start let me tell you this...I'm afraid it's time for you to buy a new phone.
This problem has taken place with me 2 times now and both times my phone didn't recover.
Whats happening in your phone right now is that the internal circuits are rusting therefore you're gonna have many and totally irrelated problems. You're only hope is some really good service centre where you need to tell them thats there's been water damage and they're gonna open up your phone and try to dry it.
Your phone has a 50% chance of surving if it's been only 3 days since the water damage, 20% chance if it's been a week. Generally after 2 weeks your phone is going to have some operations that work and some which have just gone permanently. (In my case it was the display and the call making facility)
I know you're thinking that this is probably the worst solution ever but honestly there really isn't much you can do for your phone if it's more than one day after water's gone in. Though go to the service centre they'll probably be able to make it okay. You really have nothing to lose anyway.
SOURCE: Iam using nokia 5310 Xpress music phone.camera on stand by
Once the camera of the Nokia 5310 is in stand by mode, meaning that the camera is not functioning correctly. Unfortunately, there's no settings that we can change to fix this.
You need to bring the phone to the Nokia Care Center and have them upgrade the firmware of the phone and that should resolve the issue.
Thank you!
