On a Kitchenaid KEMC308KSS01 microwave with the door hinged at the bottom of the unit, the broken torsion spring needs replacement. How is the door disassembled to get to the spring? On the Kitchenaid drawing, there appears to be 2 springs; can that be correct? This is a built-in microwave/oven combo; does the unit need to be removed from the cabinet to remove the microwave door? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
There are indeed two springs that "cross" each other, and they must be both be replaced to ensure full strength.
Normally
you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo)
and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I
made) that demonstrates how it's done.

The light inside the microwave does not work. I have reviewed the manual and can't seem to find anything on how to replace this. It does not come on when you open the door or while it is running.
