Bosch WFK 2401 washer...8 yrs old. Bought used. We wre using the washer with the water heating feature on. We have no hot water available to the machine. Toward the middle or end of the cycle, we smelled a burning motor...ozone smell but let it finnish the cycle...it did so without incident. Then we ran a couple loads without the water heater on. It ran fine. Then we tried another water heater load and smelled the smell again and this time we stopped the washer. We tried a cold load and now the washer goes through the cycle without the drum spinning at all. Just water and apparently draining, as the cloths were wet but no water left in the drum.

SOURCE: Bosch Washer WFK 2401

leaks could be from anywhere. remove the top and back cover, put on a cycle and try to trace where leak is. sorry if this is not very helpful. water in filter should not smell. this may be due to using liquid detergent which causes a smell like drains if used over a period. put on a boil wash and revert to using powder

SOURCE: Bosch Nexxt 800 washer won't drain clothes fully

There is not a Spin Only Cycle BUT there is a REFRESH cycle that will take about 10 minutes.

Sometimes when the load is unbalanced and the machine can not balance the load by itself, the clothes will remain soaked. To avoid this, make sure you always have a balance of small and large things and when loading your machine, do not shove the items in so they ball up.

SOURCE: installing carbon brushes on Bosch WFK 2401

Remove rear panel of washer.
Remove drive belt.
Unscrew the 2 bolts that hold motor to tub back.
Remove motor plug
Lever notor back with a screwdriver or similar, keeping a firm hold on motor.and remove motor
At the rear end of motor away from pulley you will see the brushes and the armature.
Remove brushes, and if there is less than 4 or 5mm of carbon left, then replace them.
Lightly clean the armature with emery cloth.
Refit in reverse order. Test.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

I have a Bosch washer model WFK 2401 and I need a new pressure switch. The repair company I'm dealing with says that they can't get the part from Bosch any longer. Do you have any suggestions for...

Hi,

We own a Bosch- probably nearly 20 years old. I manged to get the parts I needed- but we live in France and I buy on-line from the UK!
I would go onto the Bosch site. You will probably find spares suppliers from which to inquire. Also I'm sure you could query the Bosch site directly.
I'm not criticizing your repair company but I will be very surprised if the part was not available from somewhere.

Good luck,

Our Bosch WFK 2401 keeps filling with hot water - even when a cold cycle is selected.

The problem is the water inlet valve has failed. Although it is only the cold water the whole valve needs to be replaced. There are 2 solenoids on the valve 1 for cold 1 for hot the cold water solenoid has failed. The reason it works in the softner is it uses a separate solenoid to let water in there.

Bosch WFK 2401 hot water wont shut off even if you turn power off

I can help , If the unit is leeting water in with the power off the only thing it can be is the water inlet valve , it is the componet you connect your water line to under the unit behind the front lower panel. Tell me if you have any other questions and let me know how this works out.
