Just bought a Insignia LED TV model NS-39E340A13 and hoping to control its basic functionality with a Sony Blu-Ray remote model RMT-B118A. Sony doesn't provide Insignia codes.
Unfortunately, Sony did not elect to include Insignia codes in their remote control, so it is incompatible with Insignia TVs.

The code for AVOL or type in AVL for a search it shows up as an APEX brand. Need to use the Apex code. 0156, 0748, 0765 0767, 0879. 0748 worked for me

It looks like the remote you have originally came with a few differnt DVD players from Sony. There appears to be directions for setting up the remote to work with a TV is on page 52 of the owners manual found at:

I think you mean the RM 833 remote - if so try eBay as listings there suggest it works with Number: RM-833 Compatible with TV Models: KVX250,
