SOURCE: jenn-air electric range model JES9800AAB some kypad # not working

Unless they start working again after it has a chance to dry out the touch panel will have to be replaced. This happens when excess moisture gets between the very thin layers of the membrane.

Burner cap

If you can remove the part from the range try this.
If it fits in a large resealable plastic bag do this.
caution, ammonia is strong stuff, sear glover, goggles, do not breathe fumes. Never never never mix with bleach.

Put the part in the bag.
Pour in about 1/4 cup ammonia in the bag.
Seal bag.
Let set in a safe location (outside or locked up away from kids or pets)
Let sit for 24 to 48 hours. Shake the bag a few times so the part is covered in the ammonia. L
Last bring the bag to your sink, dump the ammonia, wash of the part with fresh water. Scrub with green scrubbing pad.
Good luck.

The range is tellimg us that the touch pad needs to be replaced. Do I have to go through a dealer or can I buy one online.

You are basically screwed. Mine went out and Jennair said touch panel was no longer available. Imagine that, just past warranty and can't even purchase the part. I found a new one on ebay and had it replace about 6 months ago. Tonight the stupid think went out again!! Hope you have better luck than we did.

Main micro-processor, clock control defective, replace clock control or it power supply board. It's recommended to replace power supply & control if this unit has the two on seperate boards.

The grease container is at the bottom of the range. If you remove the front panel there is a little plastic cup that holds the grease. Hope this helps!!

JDS8850AAS

Check wiring between keypad and Electronic Range Control (ERC). You either have a loose connection or something is shorted.
