Is it a clicking or banging sound? The fan is most likely not kicking up the moisture to cool the evap coil off enough in the unit so you might here more noise for a little while. Monitor it and let me know if anything changes.

Check for blockage of the air pathway. Check that the fan turns freely, as the bearings or bushings could be shot. The fan blades could also be loose. You might just want to replace the fan, as it is cheaper than replacing bushing/bearings.

SOURCE: Thru-the-wall air conditioner won't turn on

Check for power at the plug in, if it's got power take it back under warranty.

SOURCE: Does the Frigidaire FAC 126P1A need to be vented?

It must be installed in a window openeing or through the wall.
A load bearing wall is no problem.
Cutout the opening larger than the unit and install a header in the wall cutout.

SOURCE: do you need brackets for outside wall installation

No you do not. Not a bad option, but if wall sleeve nstalled properly this unit will not need brackets.

Frigidaire Side by Side Refrigerator. How to stop the loud humming noise coming from it please?

Question edited for clarity.

It sounds like the compressor is struggling / overheating / failing. When was the last time your stripped the back out and removed all the fluff and debris? It overworks the compressor and gets red hot when the condenser coils get blocked. The struggling compressor causes the humming. Turn it off, keep the doors closed and vacuum it all out. Clean underneath and you might as well clean the floor and walls around it as the plan is to leave it disconnected for 1 to 2 hours to cool down and settle the refrigerant gas/liquid. Some other ideas below.

The evaporator fan motor circulates air over the coils to help keep things cool inside your fridge. If this motor starts to go bad, it will make a buzzing sound as it struggles to circulate air. You'll need to replace the evaporator fan motor to fix this problem.

Does the Frigidaire FAH106S1T Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner recycle inside air or pull in air from outside? Also, how do I close the vent on this model?

yes it does recycle the inside air - it 'does not' pull outside air in (in the air conditioning mode).
The 'exhaust/outside air' vent - 'if it has one' (some don't these days) will usually be a manual pull/push lever, although I guess it might be a electrical/electronic switch.
hope this has helped.

Noise some times and fans dont work some times

99 out of a hundred times - when the fan motor on a window unit 'makes noise and works intermittedly,' you have a bad fan motor which will require replacing.

Sounds as if the fan motor's bearings are making noise - which - would account for the fan working only part time. The reason being is that the 'bearing noise' you are hearing - is a result of the bearings being wore out - thus it causes the fan motor to heat up and 'go off' - on the internal overload' which is built into the fan motor.

Like I said above - most commonly the 'fix' is to replace the motor.

The unit ices up after an hour or so and then water runs down the wall and not into the drip tray

Two issues are possible.
First of all check for dirt accumulation that is blocking the water to drip but is diverting to the front panel section to flow into the wall.
Secondly the A/C must be mounted with a slight tilt thereby making the water condensation to flow/drop into the tray. If not you can remove and make a small wedge on the mounting to tilt.
Also use a good air jet or a water jet( if taken out) to clean the coils.

I have a Frigidaire cooling and heating unit. Last night we had freezing rain and ice. I heard a weird noise coming from the unit then smelled a burning smell. I turned the unit off. The top vent...

Sounds like the motor burned up when the ice blocked the air which it was not able to cool the motor it will need to be replaced. (the motor)

2 Air Conditioner Problems

Whinny noise is probably motor which needs some motor machine oil (hardware store).

Freezing is probably caused by bad de-icing switch or poorly insulated de-icing switch.

If you want to further pursue, let me know.
