Video is all green and squeezed together on the top half and flickers. I cannot make out what is on the screen though. The audio is fine, this started happenning a couple years ago, but I could correct it by just turning on the split screen, then turning it back off, then the tv was fine. Now the screen is like that all of the time no matter what I do. I've tried everything in the menu, although it is hard to read also.

SOURCE: Convergence Problems

If you did not use heat sink compound then you probably have not hurt the new IC's yet but you should remove them and add the heat sink compound NOW. If the convergence IC's are bad then you will have access to the convergence menu but the adjustments will have no effect. The fact that you switched the IC's and got the same results shows that the IC's are good. If your red convergence is still way out when the new IC's are installed then the old IC probably burned out the low value resistor associated with the Red Vertical (RV) channel.

SOURCE: RED AND GREEN DOUBLE AND BLUR PICTURE HELP PLEASE

You have a convergence problem. Components are shorted out and must be replaced. Unless you're a technician, there's really nothing you can do at this point.

How do I make a CAT6 patch cable?

A patch cable is made by connecting one end of a copper wire to one end of another copper wire with the use of a crimping tool. Start by stripping about half an inch of plastic coating off each end of the wires, and then twist them together tightly. Next, insert one end into the hole in the crimping tool and squeeze it until it forms a seal around the other end. Then place it on top of the other wire and squeeze again until they're securely connected. Finally, repeat this process on the other ends of both wires and you should have yourself a working CAT6 patch cable!

How to replace wiper switch 96volvo 960 do I have to pull steering wheel

No, the cover over and under the steering column comes off separately. If I remember right, you just have to pry it a little bit OR there was a screw or two on the bottom (looking up from the floor) that held it in. Then it's just squeezed together with little tabs. The top half comes off and the bottom half comes off. Then you can access the stalks.

Installing multiport valve.

No, the o ring should not squeeze out. When putting the top and bottom components together....
  1. Make sure surfaces are clean...No lube!!!
  2. Make sure o ring is clear
  3. Install o ring usually on lower half but depends on model
  4. Gently place upper half on lower
  5. Place clamp around the halves (this can be tricky)
  6. If there is a tension spring with the clemps, do not use it yet
  7. Without the spring, insert bolt and start tightening the clamp
  8. The halves should slowly come together
  9. Make sure the halves and band are aligned
  10. Once the top is on the bottom fairly secure, loosen the clamp and re-tighten with the spring this time till the spring is compressed with no gap between the colis on the spring. If you have two tightening clamps, do this at equal intervals.
I dont know the exact model you have, but this is a standard procedure... Good luck..

Mitsubishi VS-55609 distorted Picture Flickers

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs. To get fixed either call in a local TV repair company or goto sites such as Tv Repair Kits to get a repair kit with instructions. Here is there link.

They have put together complete kits for most models that include the parts, step by step photo instructions, repair assistance, etc.
