Beeping often indicates a power problem. Try a different usb cable.

SOURCE: Well my problem is that

you might have to uninstall the express card restart your computer then reinstall it also make sure its clean and securely seated and there is no dust built up or it might be trouble with your drivers
here is a general look at the drivers and how to update them
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red x
right click to reinstall drivers or
if you can see your usb but its not working
ports(com&lpt)right click update driver hope this helps

Your USB port does not have enough power to support the drive. You will need to use an external power source or try a firewire cable if the drive has that option.Travis Cable

Harddisk doesn't boot fully anymore. The screen imoega screenplay stays always

Format the hard disk using NTFS file go to www.iomega.com and download the latest version of firmware, unzip it to a folder in your computer and copy it to a directory in the hard disk,ex:Firmware.
Run the iomega without beeing connected to the pc scroll down to the folder called Firmware and update it!

My Iomega Screenplay 500 isn't working

Your Iomaga Hard Drive is broken. The clicking noise is the heads ggrinding off the palate and this problem can not be fixed. If your player is less then 1 year old it is guarenteed and should be replaced. Otherwise, it the hard drive inside needs to be replaced!
