I forgot my bios password and am unable to access my dellinspiron1721 notebook

    Each Dell Inspiron has a master password which will clear the BIOS password. You can get this number by calling Dell Technical Support at (800)624-9896.

    Dell Technical Support will request the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the bottom of your Inspiron.

    If you were not the original owner of the Inspiron, Dell will transfer registration of the used Inspiron from the original owner with only the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the tag on the laptop.

    To transfer the registration of a used Dell Inspiron, fill out the Transfer of Ownership form on Dell's web site.

    Dell Latitude BIOS Password Recovery
    Christophe Grenier has written a program that will calculate the master BIOS password for Dell Latitudes from the Service Tag number. That program is available at http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~skynet....

Hi there!
If you forgot your password to log on the notebook, there is the way to fix that problem.
Use another computer, google and download Hiren CD boot, burn that to CD and at the notebook change setting in BIOS to boot from DVD/CD ROM. Use Hiren CD to boot up your notebook, select password recover section and follow the guide to erase your current password in notebook.
Restart your notebook to let the windows start up and the password should be empty.
If necessary, please read more about Hiren CD boot up. They are free.

I entered my administrator bios password wrong 3
there are a few different ways to resolve this issue
1. call the manufacturer and ask if they have a reset or a way to get the password

2.look in the manual and see if your laptop has a jumper setting that will reset the bio (including the password)

3 just go to the manufacturers website and get the latest bios update and flash the bios

4 remove the cmos battery leave it out for literally a week (7days) then replace it (best if the computer is off this entire time)- this way it forgets whats saved in the bios

Tags: Tech News, Tutorials If you are a normal computer user who has forgot his BIOS password and you are unable to access to your BIOS, then you need a simple way to change your BIOS. Its not that hard because you just need a simple trick to reset your BIOS password.
Open your CPU cabinet after switching OFF the power and then try to locate the CPU battery which can be found very easily. Once you locate your battery you need to remove it once and restart your PC without the battery.

cmos-battery-check.png Note : Once you remove your battery from the mother board, you will find that all your time settings in your computer would be lost, and some softwares may stop working which are based on your computer time.

You need to shut down your PC again and now add back the battery which will enable you the time saving feature and also reset your BIOS password.

if you forgot your password restart in bios then advanced or security and user passwords you can change
bios administrator password i am not sure if you can change or remove if you forgot it

you can also restart in safemode and follow instructions i gave you earlier
