L305D-S5930 dvd wont burn documents to a dvd disc

You need a program, like nero.
if that doesn't work then put a DVD in the drive & see if the computer picks it up in the my computer.
the first thing that goes in a CD/DVD-RW drive is the DVD heads, thats if your drive is a CD/DVD-RW.
Have a look on the front of the drive tray, if it say CD-RW DVD ROM then it doesn't burn DVD's it only plays them.

I have a Sony DVD/CD Rewritable drive that tries to eject but doesn't. It is model # DW-D22A. Is this a problem I might be able to fix or would I be better off getting a new drive?

It may have a jam, there is a small pin hole under the tray usually on the right side.. straighten out a paper click and press it in there with some force. This is the manual eject. See if it resumes normal operation after that.

My sony dvp-sr200p, disc tray is not opening?

Hello

Try the mechanical release;

Look for a very tiny hole in front of the drive; use a paper clip poke through that hole, apply a little pressure and push. The tray should pop open.

there might be a panel that covers the tray, and you won't see the tiny hole. If that's the case, just use your fingernail to pry open the panel, which most likely will pull out (not off), and you'll then see the hole. Once you push the straightened out paper clip into the hole, the tray should come out enough for you to pull it out the rest of the way.

Sometimes the CD drive doesn't open because the case is misaligned. Try pressing on the center portion of the drive when it is attempting to open!
